Shenzhen FC sack Donadoni

Shenzhen FC have sacked Roberto Donadoni after three straight defeats, including a 3-1 loss to Fabio Cannavaro’s Guangzhou Evergrande.

All Asian Football have confirmed the Italian 56-year-old and his staff will leave the club, who sit third to bottom in the Chinese Super League.

“After a friendly negotiation, the club has decided that Mr. Donadoni will no longer be the head coach of Shenzhen Kaisa FC,” the club said in a statement, according to Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

Donadoni: 'China returning to normal'

Shenzhen FC coach Roberto Donadoni has revealed Chinese football is almost ready to resume after training continuously for over a month.

The former Italy CT has overseen Shenzhen the last year and as China tries to get back to normality, football has resumed with friendly matches.

Donadoni has revealed his men will play another match against Guangzhou Evergrande this weekend, in back-to-back friendlies against Fabio Cannavaro’s men, after their meeting last weekend.

Donadoni: 'China has returned to life'

Shenzhen FC coach Roberto Donadoni has revealed they are training like normal in China, but football is still waiting for a ‘certain programme’.

The 56-year-old arrived in China last summer and spoke about the ‘surreal situation’ in the Far East to Radio Anch’io Sport.

“We are all wearing masks when we are outdoors. Life has returned like before. We’re in total freedom, except for checks on the premises and in the markets. For the rest, you are quite free.

Donadoni pictures return to Serie A

Shenzhen FC coach Roberto Donadoni has revealed that he pictures himself in Serie A in the future. “Maybe at Atalanta”.

The 56-year-old was without a job for one year after leaving Bologna in June 2018, but then he packed his bag and left for China ahead of the current campaign.

Donadoni couldn’t prevent Shenzhen from relegation to the second tier in China but the former Italy CT insists that he enjoys the project.

Donadoni: 'Serie A as predicted'

Roberto Donadoni has claimed Serie A has panned out as expected with Juventus “always up there” and suggested Milan’s problems stem “from the top”.

The current Shenzhen FC coach and previous Italy CT expected the Old Lady to remain the top team in Serie A this term but pointed out that Lazio have been a “revelation”.

“The table is respecting the predictions,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “Juventus are always up there and Inter are there, despite having lost a bit.

Donadoni: 'Right Italy mentality'

Roberto Donadoni sees “the right mentality, passion and team spirit” from the current Italy side and advises Chinese football on how to follow suit.

Official: Donadoni Shenzen Kaisa Coach

Roberto Donadoni is officially the new Coach of Shenzen Kaisa, who are in the Chinese Super League relegation zone.

The 56-year-old former Italy and Bologna tactician flew out to China and sat in the stands to watch their 2-0 defeat to Jiangsu Suning.

It’s not exactly a glamorous role, because Shenzen Kaisa were promoted to the Chinese Super League this season and are in the drop zone, going without a win in 12 rounds.

Donadoni replaces Coach Juan Caro.
