'Allegri fit Juventus profile'

Beppe Marotta explained how Juventus went about replacing Antonio Conte with Max Allegri when pre-season training had already begun.

Conte had just won back-to-back Serie A titles when he decided to walk away in the summer of 2014 in a dispute over transfer strategy.

“It was a pretty difficult moment for us, because we terminated the contract with Conte by mutual consent in the second day of pre-season training,” director Marotta told Sky Sport Italia.

Marotta: 'Juve in Emre Can talks'

Juventus chief Beppe Marotta confirms they are trying to sign Emre Can. “We respect Liverpool, but also respect the rules and regulations.”

The German international’s current contract at Anfield is due to expire on June 30.

“Emre Can is a player whose contract is running down, so it does allow us to approach him for negotiations and that is the course we have taken,” director general Marotta told Sky Sport Italia this evening.

Marotta: 'How Juve got Dybala'

Juventus director Beppe Marotta reveals they “closed the deal for Paulo Dybala while Milan and Inter were hesitating.”

The Argentina international was snapped up from Palermo at a cost of €40m in the summer of 2015.

“Fabio Paratici and I were quick to close the deal when Milan and Inter were hesitating,” Marotta told Sky Sport Italia.

“We secured the operation, realising it was more important to achieve the objective rather than haggle over one or two million.”

Giuseppe Marotta assured Juventus have no intention of parting company with Paulo Dybala. “We haven’t put a price-tag on him.”

The Juventus director of sport spoke to Mediaset Premium ahead of tonight’s Serie A trip to Cagliari.

“The January transfer window is about repairing your squad and fortunately we are covered in all departments,” said Marotta.

With Phillipe Coutinho set to move to Barcelona for €160M, Marotta was asked what he thought his Argentine frontman was worth.

Manchester United have joined Manchester City and Chelsea in their pursuit of Juventus left-back Alex Sandro.

According to the Daily Record, Jose Mourinho has targeted the 26-year-old Brazilian as part of a €90m January spending spree.
