Spalletti: 'Skriniar is priceless'

Luciano Spalletti warned Manchester United, Barcelona and PSG that Inter defender Milan Skriniar “is priceless. Nobody can afford him.”

There has been a great deal of interest around the Slovakia international who turns 24 next month.

Inter paid €34m to take the centre-back from Sampdoria in the summer of 2017 and his value has since sky-rocketed.

“Nobody has the money to pay for Skriniar. He is priceless,” said the Coach in this evening’s Press conference.

Flamengo ask for Miranda

Flamengo have just signed Gabigol on loan from Inter and have reportedly offered €4m for defender Joao Miranda too.

The centre-back has complained repeatedly at the lack of playing time this season and could walk away before his contract expires in June 2020.

According to Globoesporte in Brazil, Flamengo took the opportunity of talks with Inter for Gabriel Barbosa to also ask after Miranda.

The offer on the table is believed to be worth €4m for the Brazil international.

Roma and West Ham eye Miranda

Joao Miranda wants to leave Inter for more playing time with West Ham United interested, while Roma can only sign him on loan with option to buy.

The Brazil international is frustrated at his position after the arrival of Stefan de Vrij, which pushed him down the pecking order.

Although the defender received proposals from Brazil, China and the UAE, he seems to be more inclined towards staying in Europe.

According to the Corriere dello Sport newspaper, West Ham have made an approach to take Miranda, who is under contract until June 2020.

Inter ready Andersen offer

Inter are believed to be ready to make an offer for Sampdoria’s Joachim Andersen, but they need to sell Joao Miranda first.

The Brazilian veteran has lost his place in the team to Stefan de Vrij, and has admitted that he wants to play more.

Now Corriere dello Sport is reporting that Miranda is pushing to leave in January, and the Nerazzurri have identified Andersen as his replacement.

Inter are ready to offer a €5-6m loan, plus a youngster - probably Zinho Vanheusden - with an obligation to buy in the summer.

Roma consider Miranda

Roma are considering Inter’s Joao Miranda as a January reinforcement, reports suggest, but his salary is holding things up.

The Brazilian has lost his place in Luciano Spalletti’s side after the arrival of Stefan de Vrij, and he has admitted that he wants to play more.

That has raised the possibility of a transfer this month, but the Nerazzurri are keen to hang on to him until at least the end of the season.

Roma and Inter offered Cahill

After talks with Milan failed, Italian reports now state Chelsea offered Gary Cahill to Inter and Roma.

The 33-year-old centre-back will be out of contract at the end of the season and is not part of Coach Maurizio Sarri’s plans.

He had been in negotiations for a move to Milan, but that option seems to have been abandoned, as the Rossoneri are more focused on Cesc Fabregas.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Chelsea and Cahill’s agents are still pushing him towards Serie A, proposing the player as a January buy for Inter and Roma.

Inter want Andersen

Inter are reportedly considering Joachim Andersen of Sampdoria, as Joao Miranda could leave in January.

Stefan de Vrij and Milan Skriniar have been first choice centre-backs this season and the Brazilian is believed to be frustrated with a lack of playing time.

According to calciomercato.com there has been no offer yet, but both Porto and Flamengo are interested in Miranda.

The website therefore reports that the Nerazzurri are considering signing a new defender in January, with Andersen top of the shortlist.

Andersen in if Miranda leaves

Joao Miranda is pushing for more playing time, so Inter could release him in January, targeting Sampdoria’s Joachim Andersen.

The 34-year-old has made 10 competitive appearances so far this season, but has been increasingly pushed towards the bench.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Miranda has requested a transfer for next month if a suitable offer comes in.

The prime target to replace him is Andersen, a 22-year-old Dane who has impressed since joining Sampdoria from FC Twente in 2017.

Vecino returns to Inter training

Inter midfielder Matias Vecino has returned to training today, so could be called-up for the Chievo game at the weekend.

The Uruguayan hasn’t played since a 10 minute cameo against Roma earlier this month, and has missed the Juventus, PSV and Udinese games.

According to Sky Italia though Vecino returned to training at Appiano Gentile today, so could return to face Chievo or, at the latest, be available for the Boxing Day trip to Napoli.

However, centre-back Joao Miranda worked individually as he’s struggling with a slight muscular injury.

Miranda: 'Inter as strong as Juve, but...'

Joao Miranda maintains “we proved Inter are as strong as Juventus, we just have to take our chances better.”

Roberto Gagliardini hit the upright from nine yards with a scuffed finish, but the Derby d’Italia was decided by a Mario Mandzukic diving header.

“It’s a tough defeat, because we had such a strong first half and then wasted a few good opportunities,” Miranda told Inter TV.
