De Leo: 'Further options would be useful'

Emilio De Leo has admitted it would be “useful to have more alternatives” at Bologna when he prepares for “an aggressive” match against Fiorentina.

The Rossoblu are currently 11th in Serie A and Sinisa Mihajlovic’s men are seven points behind sixth-placed Cagliari when they return from the winter break.

De Leo admitted they could do with some new players at the Renato Dall’Ara.

Dzemaili wants to end career at Bologna

Captain Blerim Dzemaili’s contract expires next summer, but the player has revealed he wants to end his career at Bologna.

The Swiss midfielder turns 34 in April and in June his contract at the Renato Dall’Ara will expire.

This season he has played 14 Serie A games for the Rossoblu and has scored one goal in the process, but the captain would like to stay on under Sinisa Mihajlovic.

“I would like to end my career here,” the 33-year-old told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Dzemaili: 'You can tell Miha influence'

Bologna midfielder Blerim Dzemaili assures it’s no coincidence they fought back to beat Napoli 2-1 after Sinisa Mihajlovic’s return.

The coach has been battling leukaemia since July, but was discharged last week following a bone marrow transplant and – although he was not on the bench this evening – he did attend their training sessions.

D'Aversa: 'Parma throwing points away'

Parma boss Roberto D’Aversa warns his side can’t keep "throwing away points" after losing 1-0 to Milan at the 88th minute.

The hosts conceded a last-gasp Theo Hernandez goal that gave Milan a vital victory, just days after letting in a stoppage-time goal from Bologna’s Blerim Dzemaili in last week’s game with Bologna.

Dzemaili: 'Difficult without Mihajlovic'

Blerim Dzemaili described “the most difficult moment” Bologna players faced during coach Sinisa Mihajlovic’s leukaemia treatment.

The coach was diagnosed in July and had three rounds of chemotherapy, as well as last month’s bone marrow transplant.

“Last summer, from one day to the next, we found ourselves without our commander. It was a real shock,” midfielder Dzemaili told the Corriere della Sera newspaper.

Mihajlovic: 'Tired of crying'

Bologna coach Sinisa Mihajlovic was visibly emotional at his first press conference since July, declaring “I’m tired of crying.”

The 50-year-old was dressed in red and blue when he entered the press room but, as he began thanking journalists for their attendance, was interrupted by his own squad.

“They always surprise me,” he said. “They’ll do anything to not train…”

Bologna captain Blerim Dzemaili stood up and reserved a few words for the returning coach, on behalf of the team.

De Leo: 'Only result positive for Bologna'

Bologna assistant coach Emilio De Leo is not satisfied with their performance in a 2-2 draw against Parma. "The only positive was the result."

The Rossoblu were twice trailing at the Stadio Dall'Ara, but equalised in the last minute through Blerim Dzemaili.

"From a tactical point of view, Parma had made the game develop in a way that they know how to succeed," said Sinisa Mihajlovic's assistant in a press conference.

D'Aversa: 'Parma so close to victory'

Parma coach Roberto D'Aversa was disappointed in his side's last-gasp 2-2 draw with Bologna. "If we had won, we wouldn't have stolen anything."

The Gialloblu were winning 2-1 until Bologna equalised in stoppage time through Blerim Dzemaili.

"I think that in terms of scoring chances, had we have won today we wouldn't have stolen anything. I asked the lads not to search for any alibis on the pitch, and we came close to winning," D'Aversa told Sky Sport Italia.
