Pjaca out of Bologna game

Marko Pjaca will miss Fiorentina’s match with Bologna on Sunday, as he returned from international duty injured.

Fiorentina decline Pjaca option?

Fiorentina could reportedly decide not to take up their option on Juventus winger Marko Pjaca at the end of the season.

The Croatian joined the Viola on a €2m loan with a €20m option to buy, having struggled to break into the first team in Turin.

Pjaca has been unimpressive, however, with just one goal and one assist across 11 Serie A appearances so far.

According to calciomercato.com, that raises the spectre of Fiorentina deciding not to take up their option on him.

Fiorentina winger Marko Pjaca insists he can “be up there with Neymar and Eden Hazard” if he puts the injury nightmares behind him.

Youthful Fiorentina can go far

Fiorentina have the talent pool, the Coach and the confidence to play a big part in the race for Europe, explains Anthony Barbagallo.

Despite losing 2-1 to Inter, Fiorentina should be satisfied with their efforts so far in the new Serie A season. Currently sitting in joint fourth place, the Viola look on course to play a serious part in the race for Europe. Finishing in fifth or sixth spot will meet the club’s objective in qualifying for the Europa League, however, the way the Tuscan club has performed so far suggests that a top-four finish is not impossible.
