According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan have set their sights on OGC Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram, brother of Inter striker Marcus, but need €40m to secure his services.

Thursday’s printed edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, on page eight, reports Milan are considering sending an offer for France international Thuram, who is under contract with Ligue 1 side Nice.

According to the report, the asking price for the 23-year-old is circa €40m and although signing a new central midfielder is not a priority for the Rossoneri, Thuram’s name is high on their agenda.

Milan’s priority is to sign a new centre-forward to replace Olivier Giroud, who is expected to leave at the end of his contract in June. After that, however, the Rossoneri will focus on strengthening their midfield.

Thuram may be tempted to move to San Siro to reunite with his brother Marcus in Milan, and the Rossoneri can take advantage of a contract that expires in 2025.
