Inter director Beppe Marotta is preparing to draw up an offer for Juventus target Mario Hermoso ahead of the summer, reports suggest.

The 28-year-old Spanish centre back has three months left on his contract with Atletico Madrid and he’s not planning to sign a new deal, ready for a new adventure in the summer. Milan and Juventus have already set their sights on the defender, keen to bring him to Serie A.

Inter are unsure whether or not to keep Francesco Acerbi in their squad, despite his recent acquittal in the Juan Jesus racism row. The 36-year-old could be sold in the summer in order to make space for fresh blood in Simone Inzaghi’s squad.

Hermoso interest

Page six of today’s Gazzetta dello Sport details how Inter director Marotta is interested in snapping up Hermoso in the summer should Acerbi depart and has started to plan out an offer, which the Atletico defender will happily listen to.

The 28-year-old, who is comfortable in a three-man defence and as a left wing back, is looking for a contract worth around €5m net per season.

This season, Hermoso has scored two goals and provided one assist in 3187 minutes of action across 36 total appearances.
