West Ham change minds on Obiang?

West Ham United have reportedly changed their minds after initially giving the all-clear for Fiorentina to buy Pedro Obiang at €10m.

Multiple Italian sources last night stated it was a done deal worth €10m plus performance-related bonuses.

However, this morning Sportitalia claim West Ham patron David Sullivan changed his mind and decided to resist the offer.

Obiang was all set to sign a four-and-a-half-year contract with the Viola.

Fiorentina talks for Obiang

Fiorentina are targeting Pedro Obiang from West Ham United, having already negotiated for him over the summer, it’s reported.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Viola are in extensive talks for the 26-year-old Guinea international.

He is no stranger to Serie A, having come up through the Sampdoria youth academy and leaving for €6m in 2015.

Obiang has made 17 competitive appearances for West Ham this season, providing one assist.

Fiorentina had already been close to Obiang in the summer, but failed to agree terms with the Hammers.

Inter have agreed to loan Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa to Flamengo until December, but there’s a clause in case an offer comes in during 2019.

The striker just returned from a successful loan spell at Santos, his former club, and is returning to Brazil once more.

He had been linked with West Ham United, but it’s reported they couldn’t get him a work permit.

Flamengo favourites for Gabigol

Flamengo are the favourites to sign Inter striker Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa on loan, as he was reportedly turned down for a West Ham work permit.

The 22-year-old was signed from Santos for €29.5m in the summer of 2016.

He made little impact at San Siro, then on loan to Benfica, but rediscovered his confidence back at Santos over the last 12 months.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Gabigol is more likely to remain in Brazil with a loan deal for Flamengo.

Candreva no to West Ham or Fenerbahce

Antonio Candreva has reportedly again decided to turn down West Ham United and Fenerbahce, as he is determined to win his place with Inter.

This is a repeat of what already happened last summer, when the winger rejected all proposals to leave San Siro.

He has managed one goal in 12 competitive appearances this season and has dropped down the pecking order behind Keita Balde Diao and Matteo Politano.

However, Tuttosport insist Candreva is still refusing to leave, especially for a move so far abroad to West Ham or Fenerbahce.

Candreva open to West Ham option

Inter winger Antonio Candreva is back on the radar of West Ham United and could accept a January exit this time.

The Italy international had been a firm target for the Hammers last summer, but was determined to take his chances at San Siro.

Instead, the man who turns 32 next month has struggled for playing time with one goal in 12 competitive appearances this season.

Candreva has made only two Serie A substitute appearances since September 29 and has fallen down the pecking order behind Keita Balde Diao and Matteo Politano.

Roma and West Ham eye Miranda

Joao Miranda wants to leave Inter for more playing time with West Ham United interested, while Roma can only sign him on loan with option to buy.

The Brazil international is frustrated at his position after the arrival of Stefan de Vrij, which pushed him down the pecking order.

Although the defender received proposals from Brazil, China and the UAE, he seems to be more inclined towards staying in Europe.

According to the Corriere dello Sport newspaper, West Ham have made an approach to take Miranda, who is under contract until June 2020.

Ogbonna turns down Bologna

Angelo Ogbonna has reportedly turned down the chance to come back to Italy for strugglers Bologna, preferring to remain at West Ham United.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Rossoblu put forward an offer for the centre-back.

However, he has no intention of leaving the Hammers – where he has been since the sale from Juventus in 2015 – especially not for a team sitting in the Serie A relegation zone.

Bologna are third from bottom thanks to two wins, seven draws and 10 defeats so far this season.
