Gasp: 'That wasn't a free kick'

Gian Piero Gasperini wasn’t happy with the refereeing and felt Genoa deserved more from a 3-2 defeat to Roma.

The Grifone had taken the lead, but a Francesco Totti free kick and Stephan El Shaarawy volley turned it around.

“The free kick for 2-2 was definitely not a foul,” the Coach told Mediaset Premium.

Pavoletti: ‘Not afraid of Roma’

Genoa striker Leonardo Pavoletti warns Roma “we don’t fear anyone at home”.

The Giallorossi visit the Grifone on Monday evening, and can all-but secure a Champions League place for next season with a win.

“We feel very good, we don’t fear anyone at home,” Pavoletti told assembled media outside a charity dinner.

“Of course, we have great respect for a team that is doing well. We’ll battle.

“Francesco Totti is a great champion, so we have to be aware of his qualities.”

Galliani: 'Ibrahimovic unsustainable'

Adriano Galliani warns Milan can’t afford Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but Domenico Berardi and Leonardo Pavoletti fit the new project.

President Silvio Berlusconi announced he wanted to build an all-Italian side at San Siro, based mostly on their youth academy.

“The project of a young Italian Milan intrigues me too,” CEO Galliani told the Corriere della Sera newspaper.

“For a director there’s no greater joy than seeing one of his young lads come up through the ranks to reach the senior squad and maybe even the Nazionale.

Milan: sell strikers, keep Bacca

Milan will prepare a new deal for striker Carlos Bacca, but may revolutionise the rest of their attacking roster.

The Colombian is the only certainty that Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic can count on for his attack, but the club's financial struggles mean that he could be sold in the summer.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, Milan are resolved to find closure for Bacca and will meet their agent in Italy to discuss a possible amendment to his salary.

Milan want strikers plus Ben Arfa

Milan are after a young Italian striker whilst also probing for Nice's Hatem Ben Arfa, say reports.

With the exception of Carlos Bacca, most of the Rossoneri's strikers failed to convince this year and could be replaced in the summer.

There are a number of candidates for Milan's attack, but it seems their priority is to sign an Italian striker.

According to Calciomercato.it, the Diavolo have their eyes on Southampton's Graziano Pelle, Genoa's Leonardo Pavoletti and Sassuolo's Domenico Berardi.

Pavoletti Inter’s Icardi alternative

Mauro Icardi could leave Inter and be replaced by Genoa’s Leonardo Pavoletti if they fail to reach the Champions League, say reports.

Gazzetta dello Sport reports that despite President Erick Thohir’s assertions that last season’s Capocannoniere isn’t for sale, failure to qualify for Europe’s top competition could force his hand.

The newspaper writes that the Nerazzurri will be forced to scale down their ambitions if they don’t finish in the top three and will need to sacrifice a big player in order to fund new signings.

Milan: Balo out, Pavoletti in?

Milan are reportedly targeting Genoa’s Leonardo Pavoletti to replace Mario Balotelli at the end of the season.

Tuttosport writes that the Rossoneri are unlikely to sign Balo permanently once his loan from Liverpool expires after an indifferent campaign.

The newspaper believes Grifone striker Pavoletti has been set by vice-President Adriano Galliani as his favoured replacement.

The 27-year-old has scored 10 goals for the Rossoblu this season and there is already a strong transfer relationship in place between the clubs.
