Fuzato replace Mirante in EL squad

Roma have made changes to the squad for the Europa League ahead of their match against KAA Gent, with Daniel Fuzato replacing Antonio Mirante.

Two days ahead of their first leg in the last 32 of the Europa League, the Giallorossi have decided to exclude Mirante from their registered list of players available to play in the competition.

Goal Italia has reported that Mirante is struggling with a meniscus injury and Roma have officially announced that he has been replaced in the squad ahead of the visit from Belgium.

Dzeko: 'No Inter regrets'

Roma striker Edin Dzeko insists he has no regrets about rejecting a move to Inter last summer. "I don't think about it."

Dzeko had been linked with a move to the Nerazzurri throughout last summer. However a deal didn't materialise.

"I don't think about it. They are playing very well and they are first together with Juventus, it will be a race to the end and that's good for the league," the Bosnian told Sky Sport Italia.

Inter-Roma understudies disappoint

Inter and Roma were expected to put on a Friday night show at San Siro, but Martin Mork watched a disappointing spectacle without some top stars.

The anticipation and the media build-up before the clash between two of Italy’s giants drew parallels with the greatest pieces from the Italian opera. In the end, the reviews weren’t looking very good for either of the protagonists at La Scala del Calcio.

Conte: 'Inter had chances to win'

Antonio Conte has regrets after Serie A leaders Inter drew 0-0 with Roma, but told off the San Siro crowd for being “presumptuous.”

The Nerazzurri must hope Juventus don’t beat Lazio tomorrow evening, or they’ll lose the Serie A leadership once again.

Romelu Lukaku and Matias Vecino forced tough saves from Antonio Mirante, as for the first time after 19 competitive matches this season, Inter failed to find the net.

Pau Lopez doubt for Inter-Roma

Roma goalkeeper Pau Lopez is in doubt for tonight’s clash against Inter with a suspected muscle injury, according to reports.

Il Tempo report that the Spaniard has pulled up with a muscle twinge in the last several hours.

The Giallorossi might also be without striker Edin Dzeko, who has been battling with the flu for the last several days.

The Roman paper states that if Lopez doesn’t make it, Antonio Mirante will replace him, but they also say that Roma won’t make any decisions until an hour before the game.

Pau Lopez and Alessandro Florenzi look set to miss Roma’s Europa League match against Wolfsburger this evening.

Sky Sport Italia reports Lopez pulled up with a muscle strain in training and could be replaced in goal by Antonio Mirante.

Mirante ended last season as Roma’s No 1 and may be about to make his first official appearance of the campaign.

As for Florenzi, the broadcaster claims he was struck by a bout of flu last night so Davide Santon will fill in at right-back.

Dzeko turns up for Roma

Edin Dzeko has turned up for his Roma medical, amidst speculation linking the striker with Inter.

Roma’s non-internationals already underwent medical tests for the 2019-20 campaign last month, with Steven Nzonzi the biggest name not to attend.

However, there was no such controversy with Dzeko, who joined Antonio Mirante, Aleksandar Kolarov, Patrik Schick and Robin Olsen in reporting for medicals on Monday.
