Preziosi considers Milan investment?

TeleLombardia claim that Genoa patron Enrico Preziosi is ready to buy up 20 per cent of Milan before becoming majority shareholder.

The club needs new investors after UEFA refused a settlement agreement and could still exclude the club from the Europa League.

Yonghong Li needs to pay back the loan to Elliott Management in October, which with interest is €380m.

According to TeleLombardia, Genoa President Preziosi is prepared to pay €150m to buy up 20 per cent of the Milan shares.

Genoa drop Marchetti hint

Genoa President Enrico Preziosi has hinted that Lazio’s Federico Marchetti will replace Mattia Perin as the club’s No 1 goalkeeper.

Perin is widely expected to complete a transfer to Juventus in the near future, and Calciomercato.com reports Preziosi smiled when he was asked about Marchetti.

“Perin to Juve? Ask Marotta. Medical to take place in Turin? Ah, if you say so... The players decide... Marchetti? …” said the patron after a Lega Calcio meeting on Tuesday.

Juventus meet Genoa for Perin

Juventus general manager Giuseppe Marotta is expected to discuss Mattia Perin with Genoa President Enrico Preziosi today.

Both men will be present for the meeting of the Lega Serie A, providing a perfect opportunity to discuss the goalkeeper.

The Bianconeri are keen to bring Perin to Turin, and the player himself has made it clear he wants to move.

According to La Stampa, Marotta and Preziosi will discuss the issue today, with the Grifone asking for around €14m.

Genoa President Enrico Preziosi claims the club are close to signing an ‘extraordinary’ forward, amidst links with Arsenal’s Lucas Perez.

Genoa were tipped to make a move for Lucas last week, and the Spaniard seemed to be the player Preziosi was describing, given his profile as a wide attacker in need of a career revival, akin to precedessors Iago Falque and Diego Perotti.

Genoa owner Enrico Preziosi admits Mattia Perin can leave ‘if a big opportunity arises’ and hopes to keep Giuseppe Rossi, who ‘makes love with the ball’.

Genoa & Benevento back Sibilia

Genoa and Benevento have both confirmed their support for amateur League chief Cosimo Sibilia in the FIGC presidential election.

Sibilia is one of three candidates to succeed Carlo Tavecchio on January 29, and he has received backing from two Serie A Presidents in Enrico Preziosi and Oreste Vigorito.

“I think it’ll be a two-horse race between Gravina and Sibilia. If I had to choose, I’d choose the second one,” the Genoa patron told Radio Anch’io Sport.

Genoa patron Enrico Preziosi reveals Juventus, Torino, Roma, Fiorentina and Sassuolo are against Claudio Lotito as FIGC President.

There are four candidates to replace Carlo Tavecchio at the head of the Italian Football Federation.

They are Damiano Tommasi, Gabriele Gravina, Cosimo Sibilia and Lotito.

“Serie A needs to be leading the way and Lotito, for all his conflicts, cannot avoid looking after its needs,” Genoa patron Preziosi told La Repubblica.

Genoa President Enrico Preziosi explains why he and another 11 Serie A clubs are backing Claudio Lotito for the FIGC Presidency.

There are four candidates to replace Carlo Tavecchio, who resigned after Italy failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup.

They are Damiano Tommasi, Cosimo Sibilia, Gabriele Gravina and Lazio chief Lotito.

“No one candidate has enough votes to win,” Preziosi told La Repubblica ahead of the January 29 election.

‘Rossi from another planet, Lapadula...’

Genoa President Enrico Preziosi claims Giuseppe Rossi will show “he’s from another planet”, while Gianluca Lapadula’s critics “don’t know anything about football.”

Rossi recently joined Genoa on a free transfer, although the former Fiorentina and Italy star is still a few weeks away from match fitness, whereas Lapadula’s big-money arrival from Milan has yielded just one goal.

“We’re well equipped in attack,” he told Telegenova.
