Inglese strikes new Parma deal

Roberto Inglese is heading back to Parma, on a €2m loan with obligation to buy for €18m plus bonuses, after failing to get a game for Napoli.

According to both Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia, the deal was struck this morning.

It’s a comeback for the 27-year-old, who Napoli purchased from Chievo for €12m in 2017, leaving him on loan at the Bentegodi for that season.

He then went out on loan to Parma for €3m last term, scoring nine goals in 25 Serie A appearances.

Bologna press for Gabbiadini?

Bologna are reportedly showing strong interest in Sampdoria striker Manolo Gabbiadini.

Gabbiadini only re-joined Samp in January from Southampton and scored four goals in 18 Serie A appearances.

However, Sportitalia warns Bologna are in to take the 27-year-old back themselves, while the Blucerchiati are prepared to sell.

He spent the 2012-13 campaign with the Rossoblu, netting seven times in all competitions.

As for who could replace the forward, the broadcaster claims Samp are keen on Roberto Inglese, but Napoli are demanding €35m.

Parma priced out of Inglese

Parma admit they cannot sign striker Roberto Inglese for the €25m quoted but are confident of an alternate agreement with Napoli.

“Inglese’s an important player,” sporting director Daniele Faggiano told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“He’s a great lad, who reads games as much as he runs and helps the team with his dirty work.
