Gumus joins Antalyaspor

Genoa have sent right winger Sinan Gumus on loan to Turkish side Antalyaspor.

The German joined the Rossoblu last summer from Turkish giants Galatasaray on a free transfer.

Now Gumus has returned to Turkey, signing for Antalyaspor on loan until the end of the season.

The 26-year-old is also has Turkish citizenship, and hadn’t played since Genoa’s 1-0 loss to Torino at the end of November.

Galatasaray request Cetin

Galatasaray are hoping to get defender Mert Cetin on loan from Roma, claim reports in Turkey, but there is an obstacle.

According to Fotomac, a request has been received and is being considered by the Giallorossi.

The 23-year-old Turkey international was purchased from Genclerbirligi in August for €3m, but made only four appearances for Roma so far.

He’d be a six-month loan with Galatasaray to fill in for Christian Luyindama, who is out for the rest of the season with a torn ACL.

Nagatomo 'on Bologna radar'

Bologna are reportedly interested in bringing former Inter full-back Yuto Nagatomo back to Serie A.

Nagatomo played in Italy for nearly eight years, first with Cesena and then Inter, before leaving in January 2018 to sign for Galatasaray.

However, Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Nicolo Schira writes the Japan international has courted fresh interest from Bologna.

He remains a regular player for Gala but turned 33 in September and is out of contract at the end of the season.

Lyon & Everton in for Nzonzi?

Roma midfielder Steven Nzonzi has reportedly been targeted by Olympique Lyonnais and Everton after a disappointing spell on loan at Galatasaray.

The 31-year-old is currently in Turkey on loan from the Giallorossi but, after being dropped by the club for disciplinary reasons, he will in all probability return to the Italian capital this winter.

Tuttomercatoweb claims he is being followed by Lyon, who are looking to strengthen their troops ahead of a busy spring, including two legs against Juventus in the last 16 of the Champions League.

Galatasaray: 'Nzonzi had no right'

Roma are going to have to find a new club for Steven Nzonzi, as Galatasaray coach Fatih Terim warned “nobody has the right to do what he did.”

The midfielder was sent to Turkey on loan with option to buy in August, but that looks to be cut short as early as January, because he has been frozen out of the squad for indiscipline in training.

“He did what he did and we accepted his decision,” Terim told reporters after a 2-2 draw with Ankaragucu.

Roma: Galatasaray drop Nzonzi

Roma loanee Steven Nzonzi has been dropped indefinitely by Galatasaray for disciplinary reasons.

Nzonzi joined the Turkish outfit in the summer, on loan from the Giallorossi with an option to buy, after a mixed year in the capital.

The Frenchman has made 15 appearances for Galatasaray in all competitions this season, but his time with the club could already be over.

That is because it released a statement saying the midfielder had been “taken out of the squad indefinitely” as a disciplinary measure.

“The game will be very important, not just for our team, but for all of Istanbul and for all of Turkish football. We will give it our all against Roma," said the coach in a press conference.

Brescia: 'Cellino on Balotelli wordplay'

Brescia insist Massimo Cellino's controversial 'black' remark about Mario Balotelli was just wordplay as the President refuses to apologise.

Cellino claimed Balotelli was “feeling gloomy” when asked about the striker after he was dropped for Brescia's 3-0 defeat to Roma on Sunday.

However, the Sardinian's use of the word ‘nero’, which can be translated to 'black' as well as 'gloomy', sparked controversy.

Balotelli: 'Let them talk'

Mario Balotelli posted a cryptic message on Instagram after he was dropped by Brescia. “For the moment, let them talk.”

The striker was left out of the squad for today’s Serie A trip to Roma, following a training ground row with new coach Fabio Grosso.

He was accused of not putting enough intensity or pace into his training sessions, so stormed off when he was set aside for other players.

As punishment, Balo remains at home this weekend, but he doesn’t seem too concerned.
