Heurtaux & Cerci demand unpaid wages

Ex-Udinese defender Thomas Heurtaux claims Turkish side Ankaragucu have not paid him for nine months.

Heurtaux joined Ankaragucu last summer but played just five times for the club, who have been beset by financial problems.

“Hello Ankaragucu, thank you for having wished me a happy birthday,” the 31-year-old tweeted.

“If you want to give me a gift, you can pay me one month’s salary [for] the nine that are unpaid. See you on Monday.”

Official: Heurtaux joins Ankaragucu

Udinese have confirmed that defender Thomas Heurtaux has joined Ankaragucu on a permanent deal.

Heurtaux has reportedly signed a two-year contract with Ankaragucu and ends a six-year spell with Udinese, during which he made 116 appearances for the Zebrette.

The 30-year-old, who spent the second half of last season at relegated Verona, follows Alessio Cerci to the Turkish capital.

Cerci and Heurtaux to Turkey

Alessio Cerci and Udinese defender Thomas Heurtaux are both on their way towards Turkish side MKE Ankaragucu.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Serie A pair agreed terms and will sign over the next 48 hours.

Former Torino, Roma, Milan and Atletico Madrid forward Cerci is a free agent after the end of his experience with Hellas Verona.

Last season, Cerci scored three goals in 24 games for Hellas, but could not prevent their relegation.

Heurtaux heading to Rennes

Udinese defender Thomas Heurtaux, currently on loan at Verona, is reportedly on the verge of a transfer to Stade Rennais.

According to Le Télégramme, the 29-year-old has agreed terms for a permanent transfer to Rennes.

Heurtaux’s contract with Udinese was due to expire in June 2019 and he was spending this season on loan at Verona.

He was given 16 competitive appearances this term between Serie A and the Coppa Italia.

The French centre-back has been in Italy since 2012.

Heurtaux warns Nice about Lazio

Verona defender Thomas Heurtaux warns Nice that Lazio are “up there with the best” in Serie A.

The Biancocelesti are in France to face the Ligue 1 side tonight, and French sports newspaper L’Équipe asked Heurtaux about the Europa League tie.

“They’re a team that plays well together,” the Frenchman explained.

“They put their opponents in tremendous difficulty, they’re tactically disciplined with players who recover the ball and start again.

Official: Heurtaux joins Verona

Hellas Verona have officially signed defender Thomas Heurtaux on loan from Udinese with option to buy.

“Hello everyone, I am very proud to be a Gialloblu player,” said the Frenchman on their Twitter account.

“We’ll see each other very soon.”

The transfer is a one-season loan, though Verona have the option to buy in June 2018.

The 29-year-old had been with Udinese since his €2.1m transfer from Caen in the summer of 2012.

Heurtaux set for Sparta Prague

Udinese defender Thomas Heurtaux is expected to complete a €3m transfer to Andrea Stramaccioni’s Sparta Prague.

The centre-back, who turns 29 next week, has been in Friuli since 2012.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the two clubs shook hands on a deal worth €3m, including incentives and bonuses.

Now Sparta Prague must agree terms with the French player.

Heurtaux has already worked with Coach Stramaccioni at Udinese in 2014-15.

This season, he struggled for playing time, managing just 12 Serie A appearances.

Heurtaux fractures jaw

Udinese defender Thomas Heurtaux has reportedly fractured his jaw during a 4-0 defeat to Roma.

The French centre-back was seen receiving treatment for a cut lip after a clash of heads with teammate Danilo.

Several minutes later he then seemed to fall to the ground and motioned to the medical staff that he was feeling dizzy.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, he was feeling unwell because there was a multiple fracture to the jawbone.

Keita to Watford via Udinese?

Watford could sign Lazio striker Keita Balde Diao with help from Udinese, namely Thomas Heurtaux.

It had already been reported over the last couple of days that the Premier League outfit was interested in forward Keita.

According to Il Tempo newspaper, Watford have a secret weapon in the form of their sister club in Serie A, Udinese.

Both sides are owned by the Pozzo family and therefore regularly move players around between them.

Lazio turn to Zapata, Heurtaux

Lazio have been linked with Milan’s Cristian Zapata and Udinese’s Thomas Heurtaux in their search for a new defender.

A long-term injury to Stefan De Vrij means that the Biancocelesti are in the market for a centre-back in January.

Il Messaggero reports today that Zapata, who is out of contract with the Rossoneri next summer, is being considered by the Aquile hierarchy.

The report says that Heurtaux has the same agent as Lazio goalkeeper Federico Marchetti, who is renewing with the club, making discussions for the Frenchman easier.
