S Inzaghi: 'Vidal sneakier than Immobile'

Simone Inzaghi insists injury-hit Lazio had ‘a great game’ in the 1-1 draw with Inter, but Arturo Vidal is ‘evidently much sneakier’ than Ciro Immobile.

It was a bitter and ill-tempered encounter at the Olimpico with two red cards, arguably prompted by provocation and play-acting, as Immobile and Stefano Sensi were sent off.

Sensi: 'Inter work to evict mistakes'

Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi works hard to ‘improve’ and ‘evict the mistakes’ that cost the Nerazzurri last season.

The Beneamata, who finished one point behind champions Juventus last season, are expected to fight for the Scudetto in 2020-21 too and currently prepare for their first match against Fiorentina on Saturday.

Sensi, who struggled with several injuries last term, vows to work hard to do well in ‘all games’ this season and evict the ‘mistakes we did last year’.

Golden generation of Italy midfielders

The Azzurri took the game to Holland and showed hints of what their quality midfield can do for years to come, writes Kaustubh Pandey.

Italy’s win over the Netherlands on Monday wasn’t exactly a spotless performance, but it was already a world away from the stunted draw with Bosnia-Herzegovina just three days earlier. Seeing the Nazionale dominate possession, passing statistics and shots on goal, keeping the Dutch on the back foot in their own back yard for 80 minutes of the game, was proof of the new positive attitude brought by Roberto Mancini. Put simply, they had the mentality of a top team.
