Sensi-ble Inter investment

Inter have already made their best buy of the season and Football Italia’s Chief Correspondent Richard Hall assures it’s Stefano Sensi.

Much of the Nerazzurri faithful must feel like it’s Groundhog Day. As they gesticulate over the Gazzetta Dello Sport whilst having their morning espressos in many of Milan’s Piazzas, it could have been any day from the last month. Why? This is because the headlines are the same: Romelu Lukaku is on his way, Edin Dzeko’s transfer fee can’t be agreed, Mauro Icardi is still here. Whilst these are the stories that are grabbing the headlines, there is another one not getting the attention it deserves.

“It’s as I imagined it,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I’m starting a new life, but it’s like I’ve always been here. My idol has always been Xavi.

Official: Sassuolo take Inter talent

Sassuolo have officially purchased defender Marco Sala from Inter, but saw their €10m offer for Sebastiano Esposito rejected.

The Neroverdi announced 20-year-old left-back, fresh from playing in the Under-20 World Cup, after his loan spell with Arezzo.

He effectively paves the way for Stefano Sensi to join Inter, on loan for €5m with option to buy for another €25m.

Sassuolo had also tried to buy Nerazzurri youth team striker Esposito, but even €10m was not enough to convince the San Siro giants.
