Milan ritiro 'the last straw'

Gennaro Gattuso’s decision to send Milan into ritiro was reportedly the result of several issues with his squad.

It was initially reported by Sky Sport Italia that Gattuso took the measure after Tiemoue Bakayoko was over an hour late for training on Wednesday.

However, the broadcaster has since followed up that the incident was the Coach’s final straw, it being the latest in a ‘series’ of poor shows from his players.

Report: Milan in five-day ritiro

Milan have reportedly been put in ritiro for five days after Tiemoue Bakayoko was ‘over an hour late’ for training.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the punitive training camp will last between 15:00 BST on Thursday until Monday, when Milan face Bologna in their next Serie A match.

The broadcaster explains Gennaro Gattuso took the drastic measure after Bakayoko was over an hour late for training on Wednesday, only working with the squad for the final 10 minutes of their session.
