Gattuso tells off Calhanoglu

Gennaro Gattuso felt the 3-1 defeat to Juventus “doesn’t reflect the Milan performance, but nobody will remember that” and criticised Hakan Calhanoglu.

Leonardo Bonucci had cancelled out the Paulo Dybala opener, but after Calhanoglu rattled the crossbar, Sami Khedira set one up for Juan Cuadrado and scored the other himself.

Gattuso fed up of contract talk

Gennaro Gattuso insists enough is enough about his new Milan contract but admits ‘I could’ve done better’ with his handling of Andrea Conti.

The build-up to Milan’s clash with Juventus in Serie A on Saturday has been overshadowed by talk of Gattuso’s proposed extension and Conti possibly needing a second operation after more knee problems.

“We’ll be facing a great team and we can’t afford to make anymore mistakes if we want to qualify for the Champions League,” the Coach said at a Press conference.

Juventus-Milan rivalry catching fire

The Juventus-Milan rivalry had lost some of its lustre over the past few years, but is finding that spark once again, writes Matthew Santangelo.

Another chapter unfolds this weekend in the Juventus v Milan rivalry as the two clubs clash in Turin at the Allianz Stadium.

It wasn’t all that long ago when both of these Italian giants were locking horns for bragging rights on the Peninsula. Since the Rossoneri won their 18th Scudetto in the 2010-11 season, Italy has been painted in white and black by The Old Lady, who has taken her throne atop the Serie A podium for six straight seasons.

Fassone: ‘Gattuso changed Milan’

CEO Marco Fassone admits Gennaro Gattuso has transformed Milan - “the climate has changed completely”.

The Rossoneri sacked Vincenzo Montella in November, promoting their former midfielder to the top job after just six months as the Primavera coach.

Gattuso renewal next week?

It’s reported Gennaro Gattuso could sign his Milan renewal next week, ahead of the Juventus game.

The former midfielder replaced Vincenzo Montella on the Rossoneri bench in November, but he’s still on the same contract he had to coach the Primavera team.

That makes him the lowest-paid Coach in Serie A, on €120,000 per season, so the club are keen to tie him to a better deal.
