Sacchi: 'Sarri to Juve a revolution'

Arrigo Sacchi called Maurizio Sarri’s imminent Juventus move “a turning point” for Serie A, but backed FFP rules. “Winning when in debt is like match-fixing.”

Sacchi: Sarri to 'revolutionise' Juve

Arrigo Sacchi believes Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri would instigate a ‘major revolution’ at Juventus.

Sacchi is known for his long-standing admiration of Sarri, and the legendary Milan Coach feels Juve would benefit from the ‘style and identity’ proposed by the 60-year-old, who led Chelsea to Europa League glory on Wednesday.

“Sarri winning with Chelsea gave me great pleasure,” he told Radio Capital.

“If he didn’t, people would’ve said he was in that category of Coaches who are good but never win.

Sacchi: 'My Milan would've won anyway'

Arrigo Sacchi has refuted Adriano Galliani’s claims that Milan would not have won Champions Leagues with Financial Fair Play rules in place.

Former Milan CEO Galliani said last week that FFP would have made it impossible for Milan to spend the way they did during Silvio Berlusconi’s reign in the 1980s and 1990s.

Sacchi 'third best Coach in history'

Former Milan and Italy boss Arrigo Sacchi has been ranked the third-best Coach in history by France Football.

The prestigious publication released its top 50 Coaches of all time on Tuesday, based on their honours list, legacy, character, longevity and impact.

Sacchi won a Scudetto and two European Cups with Milan between 1987 and 1991, while leading the movement that discarded the use of sweepers in Italian football.

Sarri: 'Guardiola and I learn from Sacchi'

Maurizio Sarri said both he and Pep Guardiola “learned from Arrigo Sacchi” and mentioned the dinner they had together in June.

Speaking ahead of Chelsea’s trip to Manchester City on Sunday, the former Napoli boss reaffirmed his close rapport with Guardiola.

“We have a good relationship. Very, very good,” Sarri said in today’s Press conference.

“Usually during the summer we have dinner together. I hope he speaks very well about me as a Coach, as a friend.

Sacchi: 'Juve not optimistic'

Arrigo Sacchi said Milan and Inter do not have an identity yet, whereas the Juventus approach is “not very optimistic.”

The Bianconeri have long been criticised by the former Milan and Italy tactician, who on the other hand praised Maurizio Sarri’s Napoli.

“I maybe changed the way football is played in the world, but not in Italy,” Sacchi told Radio 2.

Sarri: 'No football without fun'

Maurizio Sarri reveals his approach to football was partly influenced by playing at semi-professional level. “I cannot see a reason for football without fun.”

The former Napoli Coach, now at Chelsea, puts entertainment above all else both for the fans and his players.

“I used to love the training. I loved being in a group and part of a team. I had a real taste for working hard and sweating. The match was more like suffering! Because of the type of football at the time. A struggle,” Sarri told the official Chelsea website.
