Lopetegui: 'Roma a great club'

Sevilla coach Julien Lopetegui says his side “will face a great club” when they come up against Roma in the Europa League Round of 16.

The two sides were pitted together in this morning’s draw, and Lopetegui expects a difficult tie against the Giallorossi.

“We will face a great club but with the hope and desire to pass the round,” Lopetegui told Spanish TV channel Movistar.

Fonseca: 'Sevilla one of the hardest sides left'

Roma coach Paulo Fonseca says Europa League Round of 16 opponents Sevilla are “one of the hardest in the competition” after being paired together in today’s draw.

The Giallorossi advanced into the Round of 16 after overcoming Gent last night.

They were rewarded with a clash against the Spanish outfit, who have won the trophy more than any other side in the competition’s history.

Fonseca spoke to Roma TV about the prospect of facing Sevilla.

Two ties between Spanish and Italian teams in the last 16 of the Europa League, as Inter are drawn Getafe and Roma will be up against Sevilla.

A tough fixture in the Europa League round of 16 await Roma, who are drawn against five-time winners Sevilla.

Sevilla were helped by an away goal against Cluj in the round of 32, as they went through with a 1-1 on aggregate after having drawn 0-0 at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

Suso: 'Fought everyone for Sevilla'

Suso said he “had to fight it out with everyone” over the last few weeks to make his dream come true of leaving Milan for Sevilla.

The winger completed his transfer this evening, on an 18-month loan with €20m option to buy, which becomes an obligation if they qualify for the Champions League.

“Both Milan and Sevilla knew full well that my intention was to come here,” Suso told the official club website.

Official: Milan send Suso to Sevilla

Milan confirm that Suso has joined Sevilla on loan with option to buy, which becomes an obligation upon certain conditions.

The Spaniard flew out this morning for his medical after the clubs agreed terms.

“AC Milan announces to have reached an agreement for the player Jesús Joaquín Fernández Sáenz de la Torre (Suso) to join Sevilla FC on an temporary basis with option to buy that becomes obligation upon certain conditions.

Report: Suso all set for Sevilla

Sevilla have reportedly accepted an obligation to buy Suso from Milan after an initial loan deal, and the winger will allegedly move back to Spain this winter.

The 26-year-old has been linked with a move to Sevilla and now Alfredo Pedulla reports that the sporting director Monchi has approved an 18-month loan deal with an obligation to buy the player.

The SportItalia journalist reveals that the Rojiblancos are close to completing a deal worth €20m for the former Liverpool player.

Suso agrees Sevilla deal

Milan winger Suso has reached an agreement with Sevilla, however the deal is still being worked out amongst the clubs.

The Spaniard has lost his place in the Rossoneri starting XI and has been linked with a move back to Spain for some time.

Suso close to Sevilla move

Spanish reports claim Milan winger Suso is very close to agreeing a move to Sevilla on loan with obligation to buy.

The interest from Sevilla had already been mentioned by Sky Sport Italia, La Gazzetta dello Sport and more, but it was suggested an initial €15m offer was rejected.

According to journalist Jose Manuel Garcia, the two clubs are continuing to negotiate and edging closer to a deal.

It’s believed Sevilla will take Suso on loan with obligation to buy at the end of the season for a total sum of €20m.
