Tatarusanu: 'Ibra's red card changed the match'

Ciprian Tatarusanu acknowledges a ‘great goal’ from Christian Eriksen and Milan reduced to 10 men proved the difference for Inter.

“We fought from start to finish, it was a great game, unfortunately Ibra’s second yellow changed the match,” Milan goalkeeper Tatarusanu told RAI Sport after the 2-1 defeat.

“We tried to maintain the result at 1-1, but a great goal at the end made us lose the game.”

Tatarusanu: 'Milan more united than Inter'

Milan goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu believes the Rossoneri are ‘a more united group’ than Inter ahead of the Derby della Madonnina tonight.

The Nerazzurri and the Rossoneri clash at San Siro for the second time this season and this time in the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia.

Milan arrive from a 3-0 defeat to Atalanta in Serie A last weekend, but the Diavolo won 2-1 when they played Inter at the start of the campaign.

Tatarusanu retires from international football

Milan goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu retires from international football after 73 appearances for Romania. ‘It’s time for the younger goalkeepers to take over’.

The 34-year-old moved to Milan from Olympique Lyonnais in September and has stepped in for Gigio Donnarumma twice - once in Serie A and once in the Europa League - so far.

After 11 years at the national team and representing Romania in Euro 2016, the goalkeeper has decided to step aside and let the younger players get a chance to guard the net at international level.

Pioli: 'Pressure is a privilege'

Stefano Pioli aims to improve Milan’s position in Serie A this term and hopes to start by turning a negative trend in the opening matches in recent years.

The coach was met by the press on Sunday and was asked if Milan were a Scudetto contender in 2020-21.

Tonali and Diaz included in Milan's Europa League squad

Milan have updated the registered list for the Europa League ahead of Thursday’s match against Shamrock Rovers, including Ciprian Tatarusanu, Sandro Tonali and Brahim Diaz.

The three new players will be available for Milan’s first match in 2020-21, when they travel to Ireland this week for the second qualifying round of the Europa League.

Ante Rebic has been included in the squad to serve his three-match suspension, a ban he carries with him from his time with Eintracht Frankfurt in the competition.

Tatarusanu: 'I'm proud of being at Milan'

Ciprian Tatarusanu thinks he can ‘bring balance to the young squad’ at Milan and ‘hopes to get on well’ with Gigio Donnarumma.

Milan have paid Olympique Lyonnais €500,000 to purchase the Romania international, who signed a three-year contract with the Rossoneri.

“From this new adventure with Milan, I expect to play good football, to be part of a really strong squad and to finish higher in the table than last season,” Tatarusanu told Milan TV.

Official: Milan sign Tatarusanu

Olympique Lyonnais confirm Milan have paid €500,000 to purchase goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu.

The 34-year-old shot-stopper had his medical today and put pen to paper on a three-year contract.

The Romania international arrived as a free agent from FC Nantes last summer and made six competitive appearances for the club.

This is a return to Serie A for Tatarusanu, who played for Fiorentina from 2014 to 2017.

He will wear the Number 1 jersey and be the second choice behind Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Tatarusanu passed the medical at Milan

Ciprian Tatarusanu passed his medical and has arrived at Casa Milan to sign a three-year contract, moving to Milan from Olympique Lyonnais.

The Lyon goalkeeper has been chosen as the Rossoneri’s understudy to Gianluigi Donnarumma and went through the required medical tests today.

He passed and Tuttomercatoweb reveals the former Fiorentina goalkeeper has arrived to complete the transfer from Ligue 1.

Tatarusanu set for Milan role

Lyon goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu has been chosen as Milan’s understudy to Gianluigi Donnarumma, claim Sky Sport Italia.

The 34-year-old Romania international is the replacement for Asmir Begovic, who in turn had come in for Pepe Reina.

Tatarusanu is no stranger to Serie A, as he played for Fiorentina from 2014-17.

He moved on to FC Nantes and joined Olympique Lyonnais as a free agent last summer.

The shot-stopper made only six competitive appearances for Lyon.

The Romanian is expected to have his medical tomorrow.

Tatarusanu on Napoli radar too

Nantes goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu has emerged as another strong option for Napoli after his spell at Fiorentina.

The Romania international brings experience at the age of 32 and spent three years in Serie A with the Viola.

He was sold to Nantes last summer for €2.2m and could be heading back again, according to Sky Sport Italia.

It’s reported he has given the all-clear, but Nantes are yet to acknowledge if they’ll be prepared to accept a loan with option to buy.
