Report: Belotti contract talks stall

Andrea Belotti’s future at Torino is in doubt as contract talks to extend his stay at the club have reportedly stalled.

According to Calciomercato.com the contract extension of the Italian striker has not been defined yet and his brilliant start to the season will reignite the interest of many top clubs around Europe.

Belotti has five goals in the opening four Serie A games of the season but Torino have only managed to wrap up one point and sit at the bottom of the table.

Graziani: 'I hope Belotti beats me'

Former Torino hero Francesco Graziani hopes to see Andrea Belotti ‘surpass’ his record of 97 Serie A goals with the Granata.

Ciccio Graziani played for Torino between 1973 and 1981 and helped the Granata pick up a famous Scudetto in 1975-76.

The 67-year-old World Cup winner from 1982 scored 122 goals across all competitions for Torino but doesn’t mind being surpassed by Belotti, who is currently on 83 Serie A goals and 96 across all competitions for the Turin side.

Report: Tottenham rebuffed for Belotti

Tottenham Hotspur reportedly offered to take Andrea Belotti on loan with option to buy for total of €50m, but Torino rejected it.

According to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, the bid was turned down because the Granata will only let their hitman go for a permanent move.

If it was a loan with obligation to buy, then it may well be considered.

The 26-year-old Italy international has a release clause in his contract worth €100m that is only valid for clubs outside of Italy and a deal that runs to June 2022.

Piatek and Belotti on Fiorentina wish list?

Fiorentina coach Beppe Iachini reportedly wants a new striker at the Artemio Franchi, with Krzysztof Piatek and Andrea Belotti mentioned as the two targets.

Il Corriere dello Sport claims the Viola are not giving up on Torino forward Belotti, who they have admired for a long time.

But Torino could ask for over €50m for Belotti and therefore Fiorentina must have a back-up plan.

Iachini, who was confirmed to continue at the helm for 2020-21 last month, has reportedly identified Piatek as the solution.
