Pellegrini: 'Very angry' at Roma performance

Lorenzo Pellegrini could not hide his fury at Roma’s performance after the 2-0 defeat to Sevilla. ‘It’s best to reflect and think rather than do more damage by speaking.’

The Giallorossi were comprehensively out-played in the Europa League Round of 16 clash in Duisburg.

“Sevilla played a great game and we didn’t, so they deserved to go through and we did not,” confessed Pellegrini on Sky Sport Italia.

Panucci worried for Roma

Christian Panucci has claimed that the situation at former club Roma is ‘becoming untenable’, with an owner ‘who doesn’t know what’s going on’.

Although Roma are within touching distance of a Champions League place, they are a mess off the field as sporting director Gianluca Petrachi is suspended and President James Pallotta is struggling to find a buyer.

“It’s becoming untenable,” Panucci, who played more than 300 times for the Giallorossi between 2001 and 2009, told Sky Sport Italia.

He’ll turn 24 later this month and is a product of their youth academy, even if he wore the Sassuolo jersey from 2015-17.

There is a release clause in his contract worth a frankly measly €30m, which can be paid in two instalments.
