‘Dybala the new Messi’

Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini says Paulo Dybala is ‘the new Messi’ and reveals offers from Juventus and Arsenal.

The 21-year-old is certain to be sold at the end of the season, with the Bianconeri believed to be in pole position for his signature, though there is competition from abroad.

“Dybala is not [Sergio Aguero] but the new [Lionel] Messi,” Zamparini told Canal Plus.

“He’s not an out-and-out striker, but operates in every area of the field, like Messi.

Zamp: ’Dybala? €40m or no deal’

Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini warns Juventus and Roma that he won’t accept less than €40m for Paulo Dybala.

The Argentinian forward is believed to be close to a move to the Bianconeri, while Roma are also in the hunt.

However, with teams from outside the peninsula also on his trail, Zamparini warns he doesn’t have to sell his star man on the cheap.

“It’s true, Roma are interested in Dybala,” the Rosanero patron revealed in an interview with laRoma24.

Juventus have Dybala deal?

There are reports Juventus have an agreement in principle with Paulo Dybala, but they need to convince Maurizio Zamparini.

A representative for the player claimed earlier that the Bianconeri hade made a bid of €32m for the player, who is also wanted by Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain.

Now SportMediaset is running the line that the player himself has an agreement in principle with the Old Lady for a five year contract.

‘Dybala gone by May’

Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini says a deal to sell Paulo Dybala will be agreed ‘by the end of April.’

The Argentinian striker is wanted by a host of clubs, with Juventus thought to be leading the race for the 21-year-old.

“Dybala will be sold by the end of April,” Tuttosport reports Zamparini as saying.

“Along with Juventus, Roma are the team most interested in my lad from our League. Dybala would help them for sure, and Roma don’t have money problems.

Zamp: ‘Juve in pole for Dybala’

Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini says Juventus are in pole position for Paulo Dybala, but haven’t offered enough.

It was reported this morning that the Old Lady were being outbid for the player by Arsenal, and the Rosanero patron hints that could be the case.

“Right now, Juve are in pole position,” Zamparini told France Football.

“They want to close the deal in a week. But, of course, I want the best possible deal. Dybala is being auctioned.

Zamp meets with Dybala agent

Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini has met with Paulo Dybala’s agent, who has reportedly pushed for a move to Juventus.

The Argentinian striker will leave the Rosanero at the end of the season, with the Bianconeri believed to be favourites for his signature.

Tuttosport reports that in a meeting between Zamparini and Pierpaolo Triuzli in Milan, the player’s representative made clear that his client would prefer to stay in Italy, and would like to move to Juventus.

Zamparini: ‘Stadium by 2017’

Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini sets out ambitious plans for a new stadium to be completed by the 2016/17 season.

The Rosanero patron gave an interview to Livesicilia Sport in which he outlined plans for a new ground costing up to €90m.

“If we were to start building in late 2015 to early 2016, I think it could be completed by the 2016/17 season,” Zamparini declared.

“The costs would be reduced to about €80m or €90m. But I don’t want any turnstiles or holding areas, otherwise we won’t do it.”

Zamparini: ‘Trophies next year’

Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini says he’s targeting trophies next year, and assures Beppe Iachini’s job is safe.

The Rosanero patron has been dubbed ‘mangiallenatori’ or ‘the manager eater’ by the Italian media, for his habit of changing Coach, but insists he will not be getting rid of the club’s current Coach.

“I have great confidence in Iachini,” Zamparini assured, as he spoke to the club’s official website.

The outspoken patron had already confirmed that he was in negotiations with the Bianconeri, and has expanded on those comments, saying the Gunners are in the running too.

Palermo looking for Dybala replacement

Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini reveals he’s looking for a replacement for Paulo Dybala - ‘it’s clear that he’ll leave’.

The striker is wanted by clubs all over Europe, with the Rosanero patron revealing this weekend he’s spoken to Juventus, Arsenal, Barcelona, Manchester City, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.

As a result, Zamparini is planning for life after Dybala, as well as his strike partner Franco Vazquez.

“It’s clear that Paulo will leave,” the President told Sky.
