‘Schick to Juve? Who knows…’

Sampdoria sporting director Carlo Osti admits “we don’t know” if Patrik Schick will sign for Juventus.

The Czech international has a €25m release clause in his contract, and he appears to be very close to joining the Bianconeri.

The player himself has confirmed that a deal could be done after the international break, but the Blucerchiati claim they’re in the dark.

Osti: ‘Too soon for Schick to Inter’

Sampdoria sporting director Carlo Osti insists talk that Inter have a deal for Patrik Schick is “more fantasy than reality”.

The Czech striker has been a super-sub for the Blucerchiati this season, often coming off the bench and scoring.

That has led to suggestions he could move on quickly, with some reports even claiming the Nerazzurri already have a deal in place.

“It’s too soon, we’ve heard and seen a lot of things which have been written and are more fantasy than reality,” Osti insisted on Radio Babboleo.

Samp consider Giampaolo future?

Sampdoria are reportedly considering the future of Coach Marco Giampaolo after a run of poor results.

After a 0-0 draw with Empoli at the weekend, the Blucerchiati have taken just two points from their last five matches, and are winless since a 2-0 victory over Torino on December 4th.

The Coach came under heavy criticism for deploying midfielder Angelo Palombo as a makeshift centre-back in the game with his former side Empoli, a decision that had disastrous results.

‘No-one leaves Sampdoria in January’

Sampdoria sporting director Carlo Osti promises neither Luis Muriel “or anyone else” will leave the club in January.

The striker has been linked with a move to Napoli, and given the Blucerchiati’s traditional winter upheaval the transfer seemed a concrete possibility.

“I hope the upcoming transfer window is quieter than those in the past,” Osti confessed in an interview with Sky.

“They are a bit like a married couple at the moment, but I don’t know for how long they’ll be able to cohabit.”

When Pradè arrived, there was immediately speculation that he’d transform or even usurp the role of Osti.

Osti: ‘Muriel won’t get a renewal’

Sampdoria sporting director Carlo Osti says there’s “no need” to renew Luis Muriel’s contract.

The Colombian forward has two goals in four games already this season, and was expected to be handed an improved contract.

“I don’t think there’s still a need for a renewal or to insert a clause in his contract,” Osti shrugged, speaking to  Primocanale.

“He knows Sampdoria will do anything to enhance him.”
