Biraghi to Inter for Politano and Dimarco

Inter are expected to bring in Cristiano Biraghi on loan with option to buy, with Matteo Politano and Federico Dimarco joining Fiorentina.

According to Sportmediaset, the deal is practically done and just awaiting medicals.

Originally, the plan had been for Inter to hand over cash plus Dalbert, but the French full-back rejected the move and is now leaning towards a return to his old club Nice instead.

Biraghi is Antonio Conte’s first choice to reinforce the left side of defence, while he can also be pushed into a more advanced role.

VAR protocol ignored in Inter-Parma

Inter fans are furious after VAR protocol was not followed in their 1-0 defeat to Parma for Federico Dimarco’s possible handling offence.

The incident occurred when Dimarco cleared an Ivan Perisic strike off the line, as it appeared to strike his elbow.

It was the kind of incident VAR was arguably created for, and yet referee Gianluca Manganiello didn’t even view the footage himself.

He simply trusted the verdict of VAR official Gianluca Rocchi and waved play on.

Dimarco: 'Destiny against Inter'

Federico Dimarco grew up in the Inter youth academy and the club still has an option on him, but he scored Parma’s winner at San Siro.

It was the debut Serie A goal for the full-back who turns 21 next month.

“I think we deserved the victory, because we fought hard as a group to the bitter end,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

He found the net with an extraordinary strike from 25 metres out, off the outside of the left boot to bounce in off the underside of the bar.

Official: Dimarco back at Inter

Inter have officially brought back Italy Under-21 defender Federico Dimarco from Swiss side Sion.

Dimarco was sent to Sion for €4m last summer, but Inter retained a €7m buyback clause, while injury limited the 20-year-old to just nine appearances in Switzerland.

However, the left-back [pictured, left] is unlikely to stay in Milan for long as Tuttomercato expects him to move on to Serie A new boys Parma.
