Bonucci: 'Electric Lyon-Juventus'

Leonardo Bonucci looks forward to “an electric atmosphere” in the Champions League with Olympique Lyonnais and reveals why Paulo Dybala scored that Juventus stunner against Atletico Madrid.

The Bianconeri will visit France on February 26, then play the second leg of the Champions League Round of 16 at home on March 17.

These sides already met in the 2014 quarter-finals and 2016 group stage, with Juve winning three and drawing the most recent encounter 1-1.

Scouts watch Gosens score

Olympique Lyonnais and RB Leipzig scouts were in the stands to watch Atalanta wing-back Robin Gosens score against Torino.

The representatives from the French and German club had booked their seats at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino this evening and certainly saw what they were looking for.

Gosens scored a sensational left-foot volley from the edge of the box and that was his seventh Serie A goal of the season, his eighth in all competition.

Lyon ready to bid for Gosens?

Olympique Lyonnais have reportedly revealed their interest in Robin Gosens and are planning to make a bid for the Atalanta left-back.

The German defender has impressed with his seven goals and four assists in 23 matches across all tournaments for the Dea this term.

Calciomercato.com reports that the Ligue 1 giants are very interested in the player and will present the Orobici an offer to lure the player to Lyon.

The wingback has also been reported to have followers in Italy, with Inter and Juventus mentioned in the report by the outlet.

Juninho: 'Juve are favourites'

Olympique Lyonnais legend Juninho Pernambucano believes Juventus are favourites in the Champions League Round of 16. “They are a mix of hard work and quality.”

Juninho, now director of sport at French club, believes that Juve are firm favourites to advance after today's draw.

Olympique Lyonnais coach Rudi Garcia is happy to face Juventus in the Champions League Round of 16. “It’s always good to play against the best.”

The French side will meet Juve for the first time since the group stage in 2016-17.

Nedved: 'Draw could've been worse'

Pavel Nedved admits the draw “could’ve been worse” for Juventus as they prepare to face Olympique Lyonnais in the last 16 of the Champions League.

The Vice-President was present in Nyon for the draw, which saw the Bianconeri pick up Ligue 1 side Lyon in the next stage of the tournament.

“It could’ve been worse,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

CL: Napoli-Barcelona in last 16!

Napoli are drawn Barcelona in the last 16 of the Champions League, whilst Juventus get Olympique Lyonnais and Atalanta are rewarded with Valencia.

Did Lyon snub Khedira?

French newspaper L’Equipe claims Juventus tried to send Sami Khedira to Olympique Lyonnais, but Coach Sylvinho turned him down.

The 32-year-old has gone from outcast to firm fixture in Maurizio Sarri’s midfield in only a few weeks.

According to this report, the Bianconeri had agreed a loan move with Lyon, but Sylvinho pulled the plug on the whole affair.

The Coach was seemingly unconvinced by Khedira’s fitness levels after a series of injuries.

Lyon warn Juve over Dembele

Olympique Lyonnais have issued a hands-off warning to Juventus after they recently scouted Moussa Dembele.
