Cerci eyes Milan return

Milan-Torino could be Alessio Cerci's big chance to regain Sinisa Mihajlovic's trust, say reports.

The Roma youth product has been relegated to the margins under the Serbian's tenure, but may get a chance against the same club in which he exploded.

The Rossoneri's game against the Granata on October 17 could see Mihajlovic tinkering with the formation in the wake of poor recent results.

Cairo outlines Toro plans

Torino President Urbano Cairo confirms they need a striker, kept a promise to Matteo Darmian and won’t sell other stars.

The Granata sold Darmian to Manchester United for around €20m including add-ons this summer, but brought in Italy Under-21 internationals Davide Zappacosta and Daniele Baselli from Atalanta.

“We have completely invested everything we got from Darmian’s sale. He generated €18m profit and we invested €23m, so went above and beyond,” declared Cairo.

Bundesliga bids for Cerci

Bayer Leverkusen and Schalke 04 could interrupt Alessio Cerci’s 18-month loan at Milan.

The winger is still owned by Atletico Madrid, but joined the Rossoneri in January as part of the Fernando Torres switch.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Cerci’s future could well be in the Bundesliga.

He struggled for playing time in Serie A too and does not seem to have any place in the squad under Sinisa Mihajlovic.

Cerci turns 28 later this month and is attracting interest from German sides Bayer Leverkusen and Schalke 04.
