Verona close to triple swoop

Verona have confirmed that they are close to a triple swoop of Torino’s Lucas Boye, Bologna’s Bruno Petkovic and Udinese’s Ryder Matos.

Speaking to Sportitalia about Verona’s January deals, sporting director Filippo Fusco explained Boye had the ‘characteristics’ to help the Rossoblu, while the arrivals of fellow forwards Petkovic and Matos were being ‘finalised’.

“Boye is a player that we’re following,” he told Sportitalia.

Verona close on Matos

Verona are close to signing striker Ryder Matos from Udinese, while targeting Bologna’s Bruno Petkovic and Lucas Boye of Torino.

Hellas have recovered from a disastrous start to the season, but remain in the danger zone and need reinforcements.

According to Tuttomercatoweb and Sportitalia, they have practically agreed terms with Udinese to sign Brazilian forward Matos.

The 24-year-old came through the Fiorentina youth academy, also playing for Cordoba, Palmeiras and Carpi.

Mihajlovic: 'Last Torino chance'

Sinisa Mihajlovic will start Umar Sadiq in place of injured Andrea Belotti and warned he’ll freeze out underperforming Torino substitutes against Crotone.

Zenit ask Torino for Boye

Zenit St Petersburg have offered €6m for Lucas Boye, but Torino want €9m, claim TYC Sports in Argentina.

The 21-year-old striker has caught the eye of Roberto Mancini in Russia.

A proposal arrived worth €6m for the forward, who was a free agent from River Plate a year ago, but the request seems to be €9m.

Boye has scored three goals with two assists in 33 competitive appearances for Torino.

However, he is falling down the pecking order, even more so if M’Baye Niang arrives from Milan on transfer deadline day.

Boca eye up Torino's Boye

Torino are reportedly in negotiations to sell Lucas Boye to Boca Juniors in January.

The 20-year-old only arrived as a free agent from River Plate over the summer and scored one goal with one assist in 11 competitive appearances for Toro.

According to Radio Rivadavia in Argentina, Boye is a candidate for Boca Juniors to sign during the January transfer window.

Boye has impressed, but is finding it difficult to get regular playing time when the trident of Iago Falque, Andrea Belotti and Adem Ljajic are doing so well.

Ventura: 'Italy must be rebuilt'

Italy Coach Giampiero Ventura is “stunned” by the criticism of his side and warned “we’re only at the beginning of a generational shift.”

Official: Boyé to Torino in June

Torino have announced that River Plate striker Lucas Boyé will join them in June.

The 19-year-old spent last season on loan with Newells Old Boys, but will move to Serie A at the end of the current season.

“Torino Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Lucas Boyé, as of 1 July 2016,” a statement on Toro’s website read.
