Umtiti depends on Skriniar?

Barcelona will reportedly only let Samuel Umtiti move on if they can replace him with Inter defender Milan Skriniar this summer.

Il Mundo Deportivo claims the Blaugrana are not only negotiating with Inter regarding a proposed move for the Argentine forward Lautaro Martinez but wants to make a double swoop in the upcoming market.

Umtiti has been linked with a move away from Catalonia and the Spanish newspaper suggests Barca have identified the ideal replacement in the Nerazzurri’s 25-year-old Slovak.

Man Utd and Real Madrid eye Skriniar

Manchester United and Real Madrid have joined Manchester City and Barcelona in their pursuit of Inter centre-back Milan Skriniar.

The Slovakia international remains hot property on the transfer market and the list of interested parties continues to grow.

According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, Manchester United are making him a priority for their defence this summer, after Kalidou Koulibaly seemed to lean more towards PSG.

Report: Barca target Skriniar

Inter centre-half Milan Skriniar has allegedly been targeted as the ideal replacement for Gerard Piquè at Barcelona.

Lautaro Martinez has been the focal point in a transfer saga between the Nerazzurri and the Spanish champions, but the defender has now emerged as a target for the Blaugrana this summer.

Piquè has turned 33 and Mundo Deportivo suggests the La Liga giants are looking at Skriniar to succeed the Spain international in the heart of the defence at Camp Nou.

Inter set Skriniar price-tag

Manchester City have not given up their pursuit of Milan Skriniar, but Italian sources claim Inter would only listen to offers over €70m.

The 25-year-old centre-back has long been the first choice for Pep Guardiola and the Premier League giants.

He was purchased from Sampdoria for €34m in the summer of 2017 and his price-tag has since doubled.

According to Calciomercato.com, Inter would only be prepared to consider letting Skriniar go for upwards of €70m.

Lukaku: '23 out of 25 Inter players were ill'

Romelu Lukaku made an astonishing revelation, claiming “23 out of 25 Inter players were ill with a cough and fever” in January, but they weren’t tested for COVID-19.

So far, the Nerazzurri have not had any confirmed positive cases, despite being in Lombardy, the epicentre of the pandemic in Italy.

Now Lukaku suggests there were some very suspicious situations going on behind the scenes during his Instagram Live conversation with Kat Kerkhofs, who is a Belgian TV presenter and wife of Napoli striker Dries Mertens.

Inter lock down De Vrij and Skriniar

Inter are determined to lock down their centre-backs Milan Skriniar and Stefan de Vrij to new contracts amid Premier League interest.

According to La Repubblica newspaper, the Nerazzurri have been hard at work behind the scenes to figure out new deals for the defenders.

It’s suggested Skriniar has even already signed the agreement, extending a contract that currently expires in June 2023.

Intensive negotiations are also in place for De Vrij, who left Lazio as a free agent in the summer of 2018.

Skriniar won Slovakian Player of the Year

Inter defender Milan Skriniar has been awarded Footballer of the Year in Slovakia and joked that he hopes Marek Hamsik “isn’t angry with me”.

Due to the Coronavirus outbreak in Europe, the 20th edition of the award ceremony couldn’t be arranged like it normally would.

But the Slovakian FA still handed out the award in collaboration with the newspaper Pravda, counting the votes from the coaches and sports journalists.

Skriniar: 'Always wanted to play with Ronaldo'

Inter defender Milan Skriniar reveals he would’ve loved to both play against and alongside Brazil legend Ronaldo, who he rates as the best defenders in the world and a thought for former Sampdoria teammate Bruno Fernandes.

The centre-back answered fan questions for the official club website during the enforced quarantine caused by the coronavirus outbreak.

“It is a delicate time, but we can face it together as a team. We really miss football and training, but what’s important right now is fighting this virus,” said Skriniar.
