Injured Insigne to sit out Atalanta clash?

Lorenzo Insigne may sit out Napoli clash against Atalanta with a muscle injury.

The Gewiss Stadium clash kicks off at 17.00 GMT.

According to Sky Sport, Insigne picked up a muscle injury that will force him out of action against Atalanta today.

The winger could start on the bench with Matteo Politano starting in his place.

The former Inter winger has recovered from an injury he had suffered against Granada in Europa League earlier this week.

Atalanta's Toloi available for Italy

Atalanta defender Rafael Toloi has been granted Italian citizenship and could now be called up by the Italy squad.

The Brazil-born centre-back is making the change late in his career, as he is already 30 years old.

However, he is also in the form of his life, helping Atalanta to the Champions League Round of 16, the Coppa Italia Final and battling for a top four finish in Serie A.

Toloi has been granted his Italian citizenship thanks to evidence of relatives from Treviso.

UEFA Youth League cancelled

UEFA have formally announced that the 2020-21 edition of the UEFA Youth League – a youth version of the Champions League – has been cancelled.

Among the clubs involved in the tournament representing Italy were Inter, Atalanta, Juventus and Lazio.

“The UEFA Executive Committee has decided to cancel the 2020/21 edition of the UEFA Youth League due to the Covid-19 pandemic and its effects on the staging of competitions,” read a statement.

Coppa Italia Final moved to Rome?

It is increasingly likely the Coppa Italia Final between Juventus and Atalanta will be played in Rome rather than Milan.

The decision is still up in the air, with the fixture planned for May 19.

According to Il Messaggero newspaper, the FIGC will formally ask UEFA for permission to use the Stadio Olimpico for the match.

The Coppa is usually assigned here, but there had been plans to move it to San Siro because the Olimpico will be prepared by UEFA in the final weeks of May for the opening Euro 2020 fixtures.
