Toro lose Nkoulou for Wolves

Torino will be without defenders Nicolas Nkoulou and Cristian Ansaldi for their Europa League playoff second leg against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The pair started Toro’s 3-2 home defeat to Wolves in the first leg last week, but Ansaldi has since injured his right hamstring.

Nkoulou, meanwhile, is left out amidst speculation linking him with Roma.

Ansaldi to go under the knife

Torino defender Cristian Ansaldi will undergo surgery to correct another sports hernia on Monday.

The former Genoa and Inter player had already gone under the knife for a sports hernia on the left side at the Atos Klinik in Munich.

He’ll return to the same location, worked on by Professor Ulrike Muschaweck, for a sports hernia on the right side.

The operation was meant to be postponed until the summer, but considering Ansaldi is out for a few weeks anyway with a right thigh strain, it was decided to take advantage of the time to get it done now.
