Mancini: 'Kean-Balotelli possible'

Roberto Mancini said Moise Kean and Mario Balotelli “could certainly play together” or use the Juventus teenager as a centre-forward.

The 19-year-old was on target in Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Finland, his first senior Italy start, playing as part of a trident attack with Ciro Immobile and Federico Bernardeschi.

Although Immobile did provide the assist for Kean, the Lazio striker has fired blanks in his last 10 Azzurri caps.

Kanerva rues Barella deflection

Finland Coach Markku Kanerva believes the deflection on the opening Italy goal made all the difference in their 2-0 defeat.

The Azzurri broke through early on with Nicolò Barella and Moise Kean added a second after the break, while Fabio Quagliarella clipped the crossbar in this Euro 2020 qualifier.

“Obviously, I am disappointed by the result, but it does describe the way the game went,” said the Coach in his Press conference.
