Ribery: 'Happy Fiorentina keeping Iachini'

Franck Ribery is ‘happy’ that Fiorentina have confirmed coach Beppe Iachini for next season, but ‘we need to improve things and bring in new players.’

The World Cup winner spoke to TGR Rai Toscana at a bar where he has breakfast every morning, assuring the burglary scare will not push him away from the club or city.

“Florence is a beautiful city that I really like. I’m happy here and that’s important to me,” said Ribery.

Cutrone: 'Fiorentina perfect for me'

Patrick Cutrone believes Fiorentina represent ‘the perfect place for me’ and there are ‘many dreams I want to achieve wearing this jersey.’

The former Milan striker is currently on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers, with an option to buy for €16m that becomes automatic at the 26th appearance.

“I believe in Fiorentina and the plans of the owners. The city is extraordinary, the fans even more so. I think Florence is the perfect place for me,” Cutrone told the Corriere dello Sport newspaper.

Ribery: 'Inter on the right path'

Fiorentina winger Franck Ribery has claimed Inter ‘are on the right path but need time’ and is sure Christian Eriksen ‘will demonstrate his value’ at San Siro.

The veteran spoke to La Gazzetta dello Sport about the Nerazzurri ahead of their meeting tonight and expects Antonio Conte’s men to continue their growth next season.

“Inter have a strong team made up of champions,” Ribery told the newspaper. “They have just started their journey and need time, but it seems like they are on the right path.”

Ribery wants a trophy with Viola

Fiorentina forward Franck Ribery concedes the Viola ‘could have done more this season’ and wants to ‘give the fans a trophy’.

Former France international Ribery arrived in Florence last summer but was ruled out for months by an ankle injury.

The 37-year-old has ambitions for his new side and reveals he is not thinking about retiring just yet.

“I train and have fun like at the start. I’m not tired of what I do. For me, football, as well as a job, is fun and a passion,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Ribery calls Gotze and Mandzukic to Fiorentina

Reports in Germany and Italy suggest Franck Ribery is actively urging Mario Götze and Mario Mandzukic to join him at Fiorentina.

According to Bild and the Corriere dello Sport, the former Bayern Munich star is an unofficial intermediary in the negotiations with his former teammates.

The strikers are both free agents, as Mandzukic terminated his contract after just six months with Qatari club Al-Duhail, while Götze’s deal with Borussia Dortmund was allowed to expire.
