Lloris ‘very affected’ by Astori death

Hugo Lloris admits Tottenham Hotspur are “very affected” by Davide Astori’s death and hails Juventus’ Gianluigi Buffon as “one of the greatest in history.”

“There was still 80 minutes to play and we’d shown in the past great character and this was another example of that. We were almost out of the competition,” he said at a Press conference.

“If they had scored a third goal before half-time it would have been very difficult. We turned it around and we were very pleased with the result.

Buffon: ‘Donnarumma can replace me’

Gianluigi Buffon discusses his long career, and says Gigio Donnarumma has “extraordinary skills”.

The Juventus goalkeeper is considered one of the greatest of all time, and it’s likely he’ll retire after the World Cup in the summer when he’ll be 40, having made his debut at 17.

“I often think about that, it’s unusual to find a player who can link 40 years of football,” Buffon said in an interview with Copa90.

Lloris: ‘Expect more from Pogba’

France captain Hugo Lloris confirms they are “waiting for more” from Paul Pogba.

The Juventus midfielder was expected to be Les Bleus’ star man this summer, but he was substituted after 77 minutes against Romania, and it’s not certain he’ll start tomorrow.

“I don’t have to say if I’ve had a discussion with Paul or not,” Lloris told reporters in the pre-Albania Press conference.

Tottenham are without goalkeeper Hugo Lloris for their Europa League clash with Fiorentina tomorrow.
