Mourinho new Tottenham boss

Former Inter coach Jose Mourinho says he is “excited” to get started after being confirmed as the new Tottenham Hotspur manager.

Tottenham announced last night that they had axed Mauricio Pochettino, only six months after guiding the club to its first-ever Champions League Final last season.

Max Allegri and Carlo Ancelotti were both linked with the role, but it soon became apparent that all tracks led to Mourinho.

Ancelotti linked with Spurs job

Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly on Tottenham Hotspur’s list of candidates to replace Mauricio Pochettino.

According to The Daily Mail, Ancelotti is being targeted along with RB Leizpig coach Julian Nagelsmann and Bournemouth’s Eddie Howe.

That is because, as per the newspaper, Tottenham are planning to bring Pochettino’s five-year reign to an end.

Sacchi: 'Sarri same level as Guardiola'

Arrigo Sacchi insists Pep Guardiola never considered the Juventus job, but Maurizio Sarri is “on the same level as Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp and Mauricio Pochettino.”

The man who revolutionised football in the late 1980s and created Il Grande Milan, one of the most successful teams of all time, is friends with both Sarri and Guardiola.

Despite months of speculation, the Manchester City boss never was in talks with the Old Lady.

Teaching the Old Lady new tricks

After radical changes in their marketing strategy, now Juventus are rebranding on the pitch too, writes Kaustubh Pandey.

Be it under Antonio Conte or Massimiliano Allegri, Juventus are known more for managing games and digging out results than putting on a show for fans and neutrals.

That is why getting linked with Coaches like Maurizio Sarri, Mauricio Pochettino and Pep Guardiola is strange for the Old Lady. They undoubtedly are top class managers who are doing very good things at their clubs, but they prefer playing football in a manner that is far more aesthetically pleasing than Juve.
