Portugal CT Fernando Santos believes Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo ‘can play until 40’ and doesn’t expect him to ‘lower his level’.

He has scored 68 times in 91 competitive games with the Bianconeri, adding 10 to his impressive tally of 130 goals in the Champions League.

Dzeko better off staying at Roma

Perhaps it’s time Edin Dzeko accepts his fate is to remain at Roma and Lee Bushe believes it’s a better outcome for all concerned.

One lesson that footballers tend to learn the hard way is that the grass isn’t necessarily always greener on the other side. Take Alexis Sanchez, for example. In January 2018, he left Arsenal - where he was the star of the show and one of the Premier League’s best players - for Manchester United, where his stock dramatically decreased. Sanchez, now at Inter, spoke recently of how he regretted leaving Arsenal as soon as he started training at Carrington.

Dybala back in training with Juventus

Paulo Dybala was back in training today, completing the full session with his Juventus teammates.

Preparing for the match against Roma this weekend, Tuttosport revealed Dybala has returned to the fold.

The Argentine has been out for over a month with a thigh injury and the match against the Giallorossi could come too soon for La Joya.

Alvaro Morata, who completed a move back to Turin yesterday, was immediately in training with the Old Lady, carrying out individual exercises according to the current protocol.

Morata the ideal marriage for Juventus

Alvaro Morata is the ideal striker for Andrea Pirlo’s Juventus for precisely the same reasons he struggled in London and Madrid, writes Susy Campanale.

There’s an Italian saying, great loves never go away, they just go take the long way round and meet up again. Alvaro Morata has always been utterly in love with Juventus. He found his confidence here, played his best football in the Bianconeri jersey, met and married his wife Alice. Even though he played for both clubs in the city of his birth, it’s Turin he considers to be home.

Pirlo orchestrates a perfect Juve debut

Andrea Pirlo’s coaching career kicked off in practically perfect fashion and Vilizar Yakimov is already impressed by Il Maestro and his Juventus symphony.

A breath of fresh air. That’s how their Serie A opener against Sampdoria felt for those who support Juventus, as both fans and players desperately needed a change after the awkward reign of Maurizio Sarri.

From the very beginning of the game it almost seemed like the Bianconeri were just liberated after being held in a cage, as every single player in black and white was brimming with energy, desire and confidence. While those on the pitch performed to a very high level, much of the credit should be given to Andrea Pirlo, who made some bold choices.

Kulusevski, Leonardo Bonucci and Cristiano Ronaldo got the goals, with Weston McKennie denied by a stunning Emil Audero save and Ronaldo also hitting the woodwork in a 3-0 victory.
