Report: Ronaldo committed to Juve

Cristiano Ronaldo, who currently aims to overtake Ciro Immobile in the Capocannoniere battle, is reportedly committed to continue at Juventus.

Tuttosport writes that Ronaldo will not entertain the rumours of a move to Paris Saint-Germain and aims to set further records with the Bianconeri.

The Turin based newspaper claims the Portuguese superstar, who arrived for €117m from Real Madrid in July 2018, is content at the Allianz Stadium and is not looking to move on after the campaign.

Hottest Capocannoniere race in 60 years

The Capocannoniere race is suddenly tighter than ever, as Cristiano Ronaldo has 28 goals and Ciro Immobile 29, the most prolific battle since the 1950s.

Lazio striker Immobile had seemingly secured the title of Serie A top scorer with an astonishing run, but like his team, he too has stalled since the restart.

He had 25 goals in his first 22 games this season, but was suspended against Milan and has fired blanks in the last two fixtures as well.

It means Immobile had just two goals in his last six appearances.

Ronaldo faces Champions League past

If Juventus do qualify for the Champions League Final Eight, Cristiano Ronaldo will be up against either Real Madrid or Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

The Bianconeri still need to overturn the 1-0 first leg Round of 16 defeat to Olympique Lyonnais in Turin.

After that, they’d be paired in the quarter-final with either Ronaldo’s old club Real Madrid or his former bitter Barcelona rival Guardiola, now in charge of Manchester City.

Sarri: 'Surprised by Ronaldo and Cuadrado'

Maurizio Sarri believes he’s been able to ‘convince’ Paulo Dybala of the new role and reveals what ‘surprised’ him about Juventus stars Cristiano Ronaldo and Juan Cuadrado.

The Bianconeri emerged 4-1 winners against Torino thanks to Dybala, Cuadrado, Ronaldo and a Koffi Djidji own goal.

“We knew it wasn’t going to be an easy game, but we went in front early and doubled our lead soon after,” Sarri told Sky Sport Italia.

Ronaldo: 'I really needed that free kick'

Cristiano Ronaldo admits he had ‘really needed’ to score his first direct free kick in a Juventus jersey at the 43rd attempt, as they beat Torino 4-1.

CR7 had 43 attempts in all competition over the last two seasons, but they were either saved, off target or into the defensive wall.

“I really needed that free kick goal so I could get some confidence back,” confessed Ronaldo to Sky Sport Italia.

Lecce gifted victory to Juventus

The result shows a 4-0 Juventus victory, but Elio Salerno points out Lecce had the measure of the Bianconeri until going down to 10 men.

Juventus ran out comfortable 4-0 winners on Friday night when dispatching relegation-threatened Lecce, but only after the Salentini gave their hosts a helping hand. It was a score-line that reflected harshly on Fabio Liverani’s team, as until Fabio Lucioni saw red after just 30 minutes, the Giallorossi had firmly established themselves in the game.

Sarri: 'No row with Pjanic'

Juventus coach Maurizio Sarri shrugged off the ‘fake news’ suggesting a row with Miralem Pjanic. ‘He is one of the players I fielded the most.’

There were reports in La Stampa newspaper this morning that the coach and midfielder faced off in training, with the situation increasingly tense.

It would also seemingly lead to Pjanic being dropped for tomorrow evening’s Serie A trip to Bologna.
