Abramovich: ‘I’ve signed Conte’

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich told players ‘I’ve signed Antonio Conte’, according to reports.

The current Italy CT is the strong favourite to replace interim manager Guus Hiddink at Stamford Bridge this summer.

Corriere dello Sport writes today that the Premier League side’s owner Abramovich gathered the players together at the club training ground last weekend and announced: “I’ve signed Conte.”

Conte-Abramovich meeting scheduled

Azzurri Coach Antonio Conte and Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich will meet within three days, say reports.

The head of the Italian national team is frustrated by his lack of autonomy and his constant clashes with clubs and is being insistently linked with a departure to the Premier League.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the final, decisive meeting to determine Conte's new job will take place within three days.
