Valverde: 'Lautaro a great player'

Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde has confessed that Inter striker Lautaro Martinez is “a great player having a great season.”

The Spanish giants meet the Nerazzurri tomorrow to round off Group F in the Champions League, with qualification for the last 16 already sewn up.

Inter, on the other hand, need a victory to join Barca in the knockout stages, although their task has been helped by no Lionel Messi tomorrow.

“I expect a great Inter,” Valverde said at a press conference.

Allegri: ‘Juventus want every trophy’

Massimiliano Allegri confirms Juventus want to win “every” trophy this season, but warns “we can’t fall asleep like we did with Manchester United”.

The Bianconeri face Valencia in the Champions League tomorrow as they look to secure a place in the Last 16, and the Coach spoke alongside Joao Cancelo in the pre-match Press conference.

“[Blaise] Matuidi and [Giorgio] Chiellini will come back in,” Allegri confirmed.

Neto: ‘Happy to be back at Juventus’

Valencia goalkeeper Neto is glad to return to Juventus, but admits being frustrated by his two years in Turin.

The Brazilian joined the Bianconeri on a free transfer from Fiorentina in 2015, but he made just 11 league appearances as backup to Gianluigi Buffon.

Tomorrow he returns to Juventus Stadium for a crucial Champions League match, and he spoke alongside Coach Marcelino in the pre-match Press conference.

“The feeling is the best possible one,” Neto assured.

Neto: ‘Juventus didn’t believe in me’

Neto laments that he “didn’t have the confidence” of Juventus, and admits “maybe things could have gone differently if I’d stayed at Fiorentina”.

The Brazilian spent two seasons with the Bianconeri as Gianluigi Buffon’s understudy, but managed just 11 Serie A appearances in that time and move to Valencia this summer.

“They were two important years,” Neto told Fox Sports in an interview which will be broadcast in full tomorrow night.

Neto: 'Juve experience crucial'

The Brazilian made the move this week for €7m plus another €2m in bonuses.

“Why Valencia? They wanted me a lot. When I learned about Valencia’s interest, I put everything else to one side,” said the former Fiorentina shot-stopper.

Official: Valencia sign Neto

Valencia have announced the signing of goalkeeper Neto from Juventus on a four-year contract.

Reports suggest Valencia have paid an initial €7m for Neto, plus €2m in bonuses, which would leave Juve in line for a potential €9m profit.

His contract with Los Che also includes a release clause of €80m.

The Brazilian departs the Bianconeri, having made 22 appearances in two years as backup to Gianluigi Buffon.

Juventus goalkeeper Neto is reportedly set to join Valencia for €7m plus bonuses.

The Brazilian has spent the past two seasons with the Bianconeri, but asked to leave this summer after growing frustrated playing backup to Gigi Buffon.

The 27-year-old has made only 11 Serie A appearances since joining from Fiorentina, though he has been first choice in the Coppa Italia.

Neto picks Valencia over Watford?

Neto has reportedly informed Juventus that he wants to join Valencia over Watford.

According to Calciomercato.com, Juve preferred to sell Neto to Watford as the Hornets had offered 10m for the goalkeeper – the Bianconeri’s asking price.

Nonetheless, the prospect of becoming Los Che’s No 1 has seemingly proved too good an opportunity for the Brazilian to miss.

The website notes talks between Valencia and Juve will now proceed, with representatives of the Spanish club having arrived in Milan.

Neto meets Juventus

Goalkeeper Neto is meeting with Juventus today, with interest in him from Valencia and Napoli.

The Brazilian wants to leave this summer, having played second fiddle to Gianluigi Buffon for the past two seasons.

Now calciomeracto.com is reporting that he has arrived at a hotel in Milan to speak to general manager Giuseppe Marotta and sporting director Fabio Paratici.

Valencia are believed to be in pole position to sign him, but there is also interest from Napoli as Pepe Reina could leave.

Juventus sell Neto for Szczesny cash

Juventus can match Arsenal’s €15m asking price for Wojciech Szczesny by selling Norberto Neto to Watford or Valencia.

The Bianconeri have long agreed personal terms with the goalkeeper, who spent the last two seasons on loan at Roma.

Arsenal were holding out for at least €15m – approximately double the offer on the table from Juve.

According to Tuttosport, the Turin giants have a plan to raise the necessary funds and that means selling the man Szczesny is replacing.
