Mkhitaryan: 'Roma have potential'

Henrikh Mkhitaryan insists Roma ‘have a lot of potential and I am sure we can win’ tonight’s trip to Hellas Verona.

Fonseca: 'Strong response from Roma'

Roma coach Paulo Fonseca felt the Giallorossi ‘played with personality’ in the 2-2 draw with Cagliari. ‘I’m seeing positive signs’.

Serie A starts next weekend and Cagliari stunned the Giallorossi in the first half of their pre-season friendly. 

La Lupa came out a different team in the second half against former coach Eusebio Di Francesco's side, as they bounced back from being 2-0 down through goals by Cengiz Under and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Roma fly past Frosinone 4-1

Roma ran out 4-1 winners against Serie B side Frosinone in today’s friendly, with Lorenzo Pellegrini and Henrikh Mkhitaryan contributing a goal and assist each.

Both teams are just starting their pre-season preparations after very late end to the campaigns, as the Giallorossi were in the Europa League Round of 16 against Sevilla, while the Canarini reached the Serie B promotion play-off final.

Mkhitaryan: 'Serie A is under-rated'

OFFICIAL: Mkhi leaves Arsenal

Arsenal have officially terminated Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s contract ‘to allow him to join’ Roma ahead of 2020-21.

Arsenal announced the departure of the Armenia international on a free transfer, after having spent last season on loan in the Italian capital.

The Gunners have agreed to terminate the forward’s contract and the former Manchester United man will join the Giallorossi.

Mkhitaryan: 'Roma one of my best seasons'

Henrikh Mkhitaryan admits this has been ‘one of the best seasons of my career’ and he is looking forward to Roma’s Europa League tie with Sevilla.

It is a one-off Round of 16 encounter to be played in Duisburg on Thursday at 17.55 UK time (16.55 GMT).

“We’ve got to be careful, because it is all decided in one evening and not over two legs,” said Mkhitaryan in his press conference.

“If we play with confidence, then we can win. It’s important to be balanced in our approach.”

Serie A’s Disciplinary Commission has suspended both Bologna coach Sinisa Mihajlovic and Sampdoria tactician Claudio Ranieri, whilst Roma must cope without duo Bryan Cristante and Henrikh Mkhitaryan against Brescia.

The Giudice Sportivo gave their verdict after Wednesday’s matches and both Cristante and Mkhitaryan must serve one game bans after the Giallorossi’s 2-1 win over Parma.

Bologna defender Stefano Denswil picked up a yellow card against Sassuolo and must sit out the next game against Parma.

Mkhitaryan: 'Roma must improve mentally'

Armenia international Henrikh Mkhitaryan felt Roma suffered ‘an undeserved defeat’ against Napoli on Sunday and revealed the Giallorossi 'must improve mentally’.

Mkhitaryan bagged his seventh in Serie A this term, before the Partenopei captain Lorenzo Insigne scored the match-winning goal to make it 2-1 at the San Paolo.

But the Arsenal loanee didn’t think Roma deserved to come empty handed from Naples.

Mkhitaryan splits from Arsenal?

Henrikh Mkhitaryan has reportedly terminated his contract with Arsenal, allowing him to complete a permanent move to Roma.

It was announced yesterday that an agreement had been reached to at least extend Mkhitaryan’s loan until the end of the season.

Now, Corriere dello Sport claims agent Mino Raiola has managed to negotiate an early divorce from Arsenal for his client.
