Mkhitaryan: 'Decisive month for Roma'

Henrikh Mkhitaryan has pledged to “help the team” and said February will be an “important month” for Roma ahead of the big match in Bergamo.

The Armenia international has been limited by injuries this term and has missed a lot of big games this term.

The 31-year-old is not happy with his record this season, despite having scored four times in 10 Serie A appearances in 2019-20.

Schouten: 'Roma not all that'

Bologna midfielder Jerdy Schouten wasn’t impressed with Roma in the aftermath of their 3-2 win. “If you see their names you think they are important, but when you get up close, you realise they aren’t.”

The Rossoblu emerged with a 3-2 win against the side from the capital last Friday, and Schouten says the Giallorossi aren’t what they seem.

“If you look in advance to see who your opponents are, you think that they are important names,” Schouten told Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf.

Milan contact Roma over Under

Milan have made contact with Roma about the possibility of signing winger Cengiz Under.

The Rossoneri are in the market for a new winger, as Spanish international Suso has fallen out of favour with coach Stefano Pioli.

Pioli is having success with a 4-4-2 formation that leaves no room for the Spaniard.

Milan director Zvonimir Boban has, according to Calciomercato.com, initiated contacts with Roma about the possibility of signing Under.

New Mkhitaryan injury for Roma

Henrikh Mkhitaryan has picked up yet another muscular injury, announced Roma, and it remains to be seen when he’ll be available again.

The creative midfielder is on loan from Arsenal and will turn 31 next month.

He has made only 11 competitive appearances for the Giallorossi since arriving on September 2, contributing three goals and an assist.

The Armenia international has not started a game since December 12 due to muscular issues.

Mkhitaryan back for Roma

Roma have announced their squad for the Europa League match against Istanbul Basaksehir tomorrow, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Nikola Kalinic returning.

The Armenian has been out of action for nearly two months, and is included in the squad.

Another return is on-loan striker Nikola Kalinic, who has been out of play since mid-October.

Roma are still without long-term casualties Bryan Cristante and Davide Zappacosta.
