Liverani: 'Not easy for Parma'

Parma coach Fabio Liverani insists it was not easy to prepare the game with 11 players out of action as he shows his satisfaction for a home 2-2 draw against Spezia.

"The way the started the game was good, we had done better than in Udine where we lost,” Liverani told Sky Sport.

“It’s hard to work right now, we were without 11 players today.

Liverani: 'Expected rough Parma start'

Liverani: 'Parma need depth'

Coach Fabio Liverani expects a ‘difficult’ season and says Parma need new players ‘immediately’ to add depth and ‘complete the team’.

The Gialloblu started the new season with a 2-0 defeat to Napoli on Sunday and currently prepare for a trip to Bologna on Monday.

Liverani hopes to see some new faces arrive at the Ennio Tardini, to make use of the five available substitutions in 2020-21.

Liverani: 'Parma will take time'

Coach Fabio Liverani warns ‘it will take time to work on different tactical concepts’, but was still pleased with the 6-0 friendly win over Pro Sesto.

The Ducali ran riot against the Serie C side this evening, with Roberto Inglese converting a penalty, then Matteo Darmian, Jacopo Dezi, Gervinho, Simonetti and Luca Siligardi on target.

It was only 1-0 until half-time, with the substitutions making a big difference.

Liverani: 'Parma must find goals'

New Parma coach Fabio Liverani admits the team will have to adjust to his tactics and losing their two top scorers from last season.

The former Lecce boss was appointed to replace Roberto D’Aversa and began pre-season training this week.

“This is a club with an important history behind it and remained in the elite even during the rebirth,” said Liverani in his press conference.

Official: Liverani new Parma coach

Parma have officially appointed Fabio Liverani as their new coach, with a two-year contract.

The tactician was fired by Lecce last week and has now put pen to paper on the deal to June 2022 with the Ducali.

He replaces Roberto D’Aversa, who was sacked by Parma because they did not see eye to eye on the strategy going forward.

Liverani’s coaching career began at Genoa, then went through Leyton Orient, Ternana and for three years Lecce.

Carli: 'Liverani the right coach for Parma'

Parma’s new sporting director Marcello Carli presented himself and announced Fabio Liverani as the new Gialloblu tactician. ‘He’s the right coach for us’.

The former Cagliari director was presented as the new sporting director at Parma and revealed the former Lecce coach will arrive at the Ennio Tardini during his press conference today.

Liverani for Parma, Genoa look to Maran

The managerial merry-go-round is in full swing, as while Parma should announce Fabio Liverani soon, Genoa are turning towards Rolando Maran.

Lecce started the trend by sacking Liverani last week, followed by Parma dismissing Roberto D’Aversa.

It is widely reported that Liverani will take over as the Parma coach over the next couple of days.

Lecce have already appointed Eugenio Corini on a three-year contract.

Serie B: Lecce present Corini tomorrow

Lecce have confirmed Eugenio Corini as Fabio Liverani’s successor at the Via del Mare, and the new coach will be presented tomorrow.

The Salento side have confirmed Corini as the new head coach on their official website, after having sacked Liverani last week.

The former Giallorossi coach seems set to replace Roberto D’Aversa at Parma, whilst former Brescia coach Corini takes his place at Lecce.
