Reja: 'Red card ruined the game'

Atalanta Coach Edy Reja felt a red card after five minutes “ruined the game” in their 3-0 defeat to Fiorentina.

Gabriel Paletta was sent off for a penalty incident – although the foul appeared to be more Alejandro Gomez’s fault – and it was downhill from there.

“It was difficult to do well when down to 10 men for basically the entire match, but even then we created a couple of scoring opportunities that we didn’t make the most of,” Reja told Rai Sport.

Rafael Toloi’s first half header proved enough for the 1-0 win, just days after a last-gasp 1-1 draw with Verona.

“When the referee awarded six minutes of stoppages, I was afraid we’d throw away another victory at the end like we did with Verona,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

Reja: 'Preparing for Inter'

Atalanta Coach Edy Reja says his team needs more concentration and warns: “Against Inter perfection won't be enough”.

Reja: 'Atalanta lost intensity'

Edy Reja admits Atalanta “lost intensity” in their 3-1 home defeat to Milan, having taken an early lead.

“I thought we might’ve had a penalty, but then Milan came out and were really determined to end the season well.
