Jovetic: 'Could have joined Juve'

Inter star striker Stevan Jovetic reveals he was close to signing for Juventus back when Antonio Conte was the Coach.

The Montenegrin will be expected to carry his team in the Derby d'Italia between the two Italian giants this Sunday.

“During Conte's times I was very close to Juve. There was interest, that's certain enough.

“They called my agent, though I never spoke with Conte myself. In the end I stayed at City.

Jovetic: 'Inter? Scudetto, of course'

Stevan Jovetic believes Inter should aim for the Scudetto, and says 'What angers me the most? When people say I'm broken'.

Jovetic: 'Don't know if I'll play'

Inter's Stevan Jovetic admits he 'doesn't know' whether he'll play against Austria tonight, and reveals he discussed it with Coach Roberto Mancini.

The 25-year-old is the star of the Montenegro national team, but his dubious conditions of form are making everyone at Inter wish that he'll be benched, especially in light of the upcoming match against Juventus.

Asked by La Gazzetta dello Sport whether he'll be playing, the Montenegrin himself could not provide an answer.

Stevan Jovetic slams “absurd” rumours that there’s a problem with Inter or Roberto Mancini.

It has been rumoured that the Nerazzurri are furious after the forward, who is carrying an injury, reported for international duty with Montenegro.

However, in a post on his Facebook page, the former Manchester City striker clarified the rumours.

“I continue to read absurd things which frankly I don’t understand,” Jovetic wrote.

Inter face Jovetic case

Inter and Stevan Jovetic are reportedly on difficult terms as the striker could play for Montenegro in spite of his injuries.

The 25-year-old reported some pain to his left calf after the Nerazzurri's last game against Sampdoria, and the medical opinion within the club was split.

Jovetic fit for Montenegro?

It’s reported Stevan Jovetic will be fit to represent Montenegro, but will miss Inter’s trip to Sampdoria.

The forward was injured in the warm-up ahead of Sunday’s 4-1 defeat to Fiorentina, and was unable to face his former side.

According to Premium Sport, having seen a specialist, Inter’s initial diagnosis of a pulled hamstring has been confirmed, and Jovetic will miss the Sampdoria match.
