Perotti to Al-Shabab?

Diego Perotti has, according to Il Corriere dello Sport, been transfer listed by Roma and could be on his way to Al-Shabab this summer.

Roma are looking to offload the 32-year-old this summer and are asking for €2m to let him leave one year before his deal expires.

The Roman newspaper claims the imminent change of ownership has started the preparations for a host of changes at the Olimpico and one of them seems to be the Argentine forward leaving the club.

Perotti set for Saudi switch

Reports claim Roma winger Diego Perotti is closing in on a move to Saudi side Al-Shabab for a minimal fee.

According to Il Tempo, Al-Shabab have offered Perotti a contract worth €2.5m and Roma only need to sell him for €2m to avoid a capital loss.

That is backed up by Saudi journalist Tariq Al-Nofal, although he suggests the Giallorossi want €3m for the 31-year-old, whereas Al-Shabab are currently at €2.5m.

Perotti has fallen down the pecking order at Roma after a string of injuries and poor performances.

Staging the Italian Super Cup between Juventus and Lazio in Saudi Arabia could cost the Lega Serie A €450m, as beIN Sports warn they are “actively considering” scrapping TV rights.

The decision to have Saudi Arabia host the one-off match between the 2018-19 Scudetto and Coppa Italia winners already caused controversy last year because of their human rights record and the killing of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
