Sabatini: 'Not possible at Inter'

Former director Walter Sabatini has apologised to Inter fans for leaving, but “I wanted to have my style of football and it wasn’t possible here.”

He had been a bridge co-ordinating the two football clubs owned by Suning Group, namely Inter and Jiangsu Suning, but resigned last month following a difference of opinion.

“I did not think that, in certain conditions, I could be of use to a team that deserves something I wasn’t able to develop,” Sabatini told Sky Sport Italia.

Antonello: 'Inter plans haven't changed'

Inter CEO Alessandro Antonello assures their “plans have not changed” with Walter Sabatini’s departure, nor will they “dismantle” the squad.

Technical co-ordinator Sabatini terminated his contract by mutual consent this week, just hours after Coach Fabio Capello quit Jiangsu Suning.

“We are surprised that after Sabatini’s departure, there was even talk in the media of dismantling Inter, going so far as to suggest Suning could walk away,” Antonello told news agency Ansa.

It was claimed on Wednesday that the Chinese conglomerate was considering selling the Nerazzurri, having received an offer of €600m.

Suning swiftly denied that in a statement, and now the owner’s son has had his say.

“I guess some people just don’t understand whatever confusion they make,” Zhang wrote on his Instagram page.

Suning denies Inter sale talk

Suning Group has rubbished reports suggesting that it was actively trying to sell Inter.

Corriere della Sera claimed on Wednesday that Suning would ‘gladly’ sell Inter if it received an offer of 600m, with the multinational’s power dented by Chinese market restrictions and problems with Financial Fair Play.

However, a spokesperson told Sina Sports: “As for the so-called ‘stories’ reported by foreign outlets, we don’t even consider them.

Report: Suning want to sell Inter

Suning Group would gladly sell Inter, claims the Corriere della Sera newspaper, but nobody is ready to pay €600m for the club.

The rapport between Chinese giants Suning and Inter has been gradually deteriorating, as Financial Fair Play issues and the failure to qualify for Europe saw them tighten the purse strings.

Today, technical co-ordinator Walter Sabatini terminated his contract by mutual consent just hours after Fabio Capello quit as Coach of their other football club, Jiangsu Suning.
