SPAL goalkeeper Gomis to Dijon

SPAL goalkeeper Alfred Gomis is expected to complete his transfer to Ligue 1 side Dijon FCO this weekend.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Gomis will sign for Dijon over the next 48 hours, possibly even as early as today.

SPAL present 2019-20 kits

SPAL have unveiled their official kits for the 2019-20 season, including a gold away shirt, while the goalkeeper is in red.

The third kit will only be presented in a few weeks’ time, perhaps once the Serie A campaign has already kicked off.

Designed by Macron, the Home kit is the classic blue and white stripes of SPAL, but with an intriguing ‘Korean’ style collar.

The back of the net has the logo of the club and the motto ‘Non camminerai mai sola’ – You’ll never walk alone.

Lecce go for Choupo-Moting

Newly-promoted Lecce have reportedly targeted Paris Saint-Germain and Cameroon striker Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.

The Salentini finished second in Serie B last season, earning promotion to the top flight along with Brescia and Hellas Verona.

They have been seeking a striker all summer to partner Gianluca Lapadula and appear to have given up on Sassuolo’s Khouma Babacar, who is closer to SPAL.

According to Sky Sport Italia, their latest target is 30-year-old Choupo-Moting.

SPAL move for Milan full-backs?

SPAL are reportedly weighing up moves for Milan left-backs Diego Laxalt and Ivan Strinic following Mohamed Fares’ knee injury.

SPAL have been rocked by the loss of Fares, who damaged his ACL just weeks after he helped Algeria win the Africa Cup of Nations.

That has forced Leonardo Semplici’s side to look for left-sided reinforcements, and Tuttosport claims they have identified the Milan pair.

Strinic and Laxalt are both surplus to requirements at San Siro, with the Rossoneri retaining Ricardo Rodriguez and bringing Theo Hernandez.

Coppa: Monza to face Fiorentina

Silvio Berlusconi’s Monza shocked Serie B side Benevento to set up a tie with Fiorentina in the Coppa Italia third round.

Monza won a seven-goal thriller, surviving a late penalty to beat Benevento 4-3, and face Fiorentina in the next round.

Feralpisalo, Pisa, Perugia, Salernitana, Venezia, Crotone, Spezia, Sudtirol, Cremonese and Imolese, meanwhile, all secured Serie A ties.

So did Chievo, although the Flying Donkeys needed a penalty shootout to avoid a giant-killing at the hands of third-tier Ravenna.

Instead, SPAL are interested in picking up the 26-year-old Senegal international.
