Leonardo Semplici congratulates his SPAL players on a ‘deserved’ draw against Inter this afternoon.

A last gasp equaliser by Alberto Paloschi gave the relegation-threatened Biancazzurri a valuable point against Luciano Spalletti’s side.

“I think we deserved this draw,” Semplici reflected following the 1-1 scoreline. “The team showed character against a great side.

Spalletti: 'No Inter improvements'

Luciano Spalletti admits to having “a bitter taste in the mouth” after Inter’s draw with SPAL, but above all saw “no improvements.”

“Clearly when you concede a goal like that in stoppages, it leaves a bitter taste in the mouth,” the Coach told Mediaset Premium.

SPAL snatch Inter point

Inter thought they had their first win in two months, but Alberto Paloschi earned a last-gasp SPAL equaliser after Francesco Vicari’s own goal.

The Nerazzurri put in a truly uninspired performance at the Stadio Mazza, leaving Ferrara with a barely-deserved point.

It was so close to a victory thanks to a comical Vicari own goal, at full stretch to turn in Joao Cancelo’s cross.

The two goalkeepers had precious little to do, but in stoppages Paloschi’s diving header met a Mirko Antenucci assist to draw level.

Half of Serie A votes Gravina

Lega Pro chief Gabriele Gravina has support from half of Serie A clubs as FIGC President, ahead of Damiano Tommasi and Cosimo Sibilia.

The Federation is currently without a President after Carlo Tavecchio resigned in the wake of failure to qualify for the 2018 World Cup.

There are three official candidates: Lega Pro President Gravina, Players Association chief Tommasi and leader of the Lega Dilettanti Sibilia.
