Torino have officially sold Mirko Valdifiori and Kevin Bonifazi to SPAL.

This evening, they released statements confirming the two transfers, which had been agreed earlier today.

Midfielder Valdifiori makes the move on a permanent basis, signing a two-year contract with option for a third.

Defender Bonifazi joins SPAL on loan with option to buy, but Torino also retain a counter-option.

It is a return for Bonifazi, who already played there on loan in the 2016-17 Serie B campaign.

According to Sportitalia, they are now whittling down the squad with some exits ahead of tomorrow’s transfer deadline.

Midfielder Missiroli has been at the club since 2012, but the 32-year-old is moving on to fellow Serie A side SPAL.

Lazio push for Lazzari

Lazio are pushing to sign Manuel Lazzari from Spal, reports suggest, offering two players in exchange.

The 24-year-old right-winger managed two goals and an assists last season as the Ferrara club avoided relegation.

Today’s Corriere dello Sport reports that the Aquile are offering €6m plus Dusan Basta and Danilo Cataldi to try and sign Lazzari

That deal is complicated though, as Basta’s salary is well outside what Spal can pay, so he’d have to take a wage cut or be paid a lump sum by the Biancocelesti to make the move.

Coppa: Sampdoria thank Jankto

Jakub Jankto allowed Sampdoria to beat Viterbese and set up a Coppa Italia Fourth Round meeting with SPAL.

It proved a real slog at Marassi for Marco Giampaolo’s men, who struggled to break down the Serie C outfit.

Gaston Ramirez had the best opportunity of the first half, his free kick from a huge distance smacking the frame of the goal.

Another Ramirez set play tested the Viterbese goalkeeper, but Gregoire Defrel fired a promising counter-attack wide.

Andrea Petagna made the perfect start to his SPAL career, scoring the Coppa Italia Third Round winner against Spezia.

The former Atalanta striker was on target straight after the restart at the Stadio Picco.

It proved the only goal of the game, though Gyasi saw his effort ruled offside.

SPAL go on to face either Sampdoria or Viterbese Castrense in the Fourth Round in December.

The Spallini enter the tournament in the third round tomorrow, then begin the Serie A season next weekend at Bologna.

“We will try to complete the squad, as always keeping an eye on the finances, but the club knows full well what we are missing,” said Semplici in his Press conference.
