Official: Frosinone sign Viviani

Frosinone have officially signed SPAL midfielder Federico Viviani on loan for the rest of the season with an option to buy.

The deal was confirmed by Frosinone on Thursday morning, while it is reported they must pay €5.5m to keep Viviani permanently.

Great things were expected of the 26-year-old when he was in the Roma youth academy, but he never quite found stability.

The former Italy Under-21 international played for numerous clubs, including Pescara, Bologna and Verona, before joining SPAL in the summer of 2017.

Viviani set for Frosinone

Frosinone are on the verge of signing SPAL midfielder Federico Viviani, on loan with €5.5m option to buy.

According to multiple sources, including Sky Sport Italia and Calciomercato.it, a deal is down to the details.

Viviani would make the move to Frosinone on loan with an option for a permanent switch in July for €5.5m.

Official: SPAL sign Verona pair

SPAL made a double announcement today, signing Mohamed Fares and activating their option for Federico Viviani from Hellas Verona.

The Ferrara-based club made their first top flight appearance in 50 years and survived the threat of relegation, so are preparing for next term.

This evening, they announced the arrival of Fares from Hellas Verona, the versatile winger and full-back signing a four-year contract.

It’s a loan deal with obligation to buy if he and the club hit certain targets this season.

Viviani has Roma memories

SPAL midfielder Federico Viviani is a Roma youth product and admits “it passed through my mind” what he’ll do if he scores today.

“It is a very emotional moment, as I spent seven fantastic years at Roma where I met so many wonderful people,” Viviani told Roma TV.

SPAL sign Paloschi & Viviani

Serie A new boys SPAL have confirmed the signings of striker Alberto Paloschi and midfielder Federico Viviani.

A statement on SPAL’s official website states Paloschi has arrived on a season-long loan from Atalanta with an option to buy next summer.

The former Chievo and Swansea City attacker failed to score in 14 appearances for the Orobici last term.

Viviani, meanwhile, has joined from Verona on a similar arrangement.

Spal get Felipe and Viviani

Newly-promoted Spal have deals for Udinese defender Dias Felipe and Hellas Verona midfielder Federico Viviani.

It was already reported by Sky Sport Italia today that centre-back Felipe would join for €1m.

The minnows have also seemingly secured an agreement for Viviani, the 25-year-old who spent this season on loan at Bologna.

Viviani came up through the Roma academy, playing for the likes of Padova, Pescara and Latina.

This term, he scored two goals with two assists in 17 Serie A games for Bologna.

Bologna players in nightclub faux-pas

Four Bologna players face sanctions from the club as they were spotted in a nightclub by fans at 1.30am.

Adam Masina, Mrios Oikonomou, Erick Pulgar and Federico Viviani were reportedly at the Giostra nightclub, with the club said to be furious at the situation.

Roberto Donadoni's side are in turmoil after scoring just one point after a 7-1 defeat to Napoli on February 4th.

There were several deadline day deals that went through on the wire, but Dani Osvaldo turned down Chievo to focus on his music.

The transfer window has already shut in Italy, although they can still sell players abroad and sign free agents.

Rai Sport claim former Italy international Osvaldo was very close to agreeing terms with Chievo.

However, the 30-year-old eventually decided he will retire from football in order to concentrate on his music.

Udinese after Viviani, Crisetig

Udinese want Federico Viviani, but Verona's demands may push them towards Bologna's Lorenzo Crisetig instead.

The Zebrette's campaign to reinforce their midfield could result in a complicated triangle. According to CalcioNews24, they have already made an offer for Verona's Viviani, but they are competing with Bologna for the player.

However, the €4m that they put on the table were rejected as insufficient by Verona. Udinese may then turn to Bologna in turn, and try to take Crisetig from them.

Anderlecht bid for Viviani fails
Verona have reportedly turned down an initial Anderlecht offer for midfielder Federico Viviani.
 
The free kick specialist impressed this season, despite Hellas going down into Serie B.
 
According to Sky Sport Italia, Belgian giants Anderlecht came forward with a proposal to sign Viviani.
 
So far Verona have rejected the approach, but if the bid grows then they could well be tempted into a sale.
