Valerio Verre lobbed in the winner off the bench as Sampdoria picked up their first points in a 2-1 win against Fiorentina on Friday.

Five minutes before full time, Federico Ceccherini pulled down Fabio Quagliarella in the box and the veteran made no mistakes from the penalty spot and gave Sampdoria the lead at half-time.

Juric: 'Heroic Verona comeback'

Ivan Juric believes Hellas Verona were complacent in the first half against Torino, but their comeback from 3-0 down to 3-3 was "heroic."

The Gialloblu found themselves 3-0 down to Torino with only half an hour remaining, but turned the game around with three goals inside 15 minutes.

“There was a lot of talk during the week, too many compliments, and we lacked a bit of concentration," said the coach in his press conference.

Official: Verre joins Verona

Hellas Verona have officially signed Valerio Verre from Sampdoria, on loan with option to buy.

The midfielder completed the transfer to the Stadio Bentegodi this afternoon.

Verre came up through the Roma youth academy and has also played for Siena, Palermo, Pescara and Perugia.

The 25-year-old spent last season on loan at Serie B side Perugia, scoring 12 goals with six assists in 35 games.

Zeman: 'Football is simple'

Zdenek Zeman stresses that 'football is simple' after achieving an astonishing 5-0 win over Genoa with new side Pescara.

After having failed to win a game all season with former boss Massimo Oddo, the 69-year-old achieved what seemed to be impossible with the side. But was this a result of impressing his ideas onto the players in such a short space of time?

Verre joins Sampdoria

Sampdoria have completed the signing of Valerio Verre, but he’ll be loaned back to Pescara until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old is an Italian Under-21 international, and came up through Roma’s youth academy.

“U.C Sampdoria announces the outright signing of the player Valerio Verre from Pescara,” the Blucerchiati confirmed on their official website.

“The midfielder will remain with the Biancoazzurri on a temporary basis until June 30, 2017.”

Pescara have lost Valerio Verre as well for tomorrow’s Serie A encounter with Sampdoria.

Oddo: 'Pescara don't have Icardi'

Pescara Coach Massimo Oddo felt they “certainly did not deserve to lose, but Inter have Mauro Icardi and we don’t.”

The Delfini had taken the lead through Jean-Christophe Bahebeck, but an Icardi brace turned it around in stoppages.

Agent: 'Napoli can buy Verre'

Valerio Verre's agent confirms that Napoli could sign the player, only to leave him at Pescara on a loan deal.

The 22-year-old was owned by Udinese, but they decided not to exercise their buy-back clause and leave him with the newly-promoted club.

“This turn of events surprised me too,” his agent Patrick Bastianelli told Il Messaggero Veneto. “I expected Udinese to retain the player and develop him.

Verre and Caprari in Napoli talks

Pescara have officially bought Valerio Verre from Udinese, but are already in talks to sell him and Gianluca Caprari to Napoli.

Today it was announced that Udinese will not activate their buy-back clause on Verre, so the midfielder is fully a Pescara player.

He played a key role in earning their promotion from Serie B this term, scoring two goals in 35 games.

However, Pescara are already in negotiations to sell both Verre and Caprari to Napoli.
